We check out Kings Park like you have never seen it before. Under the lights of Lightscape, King Park has been transformed into a illuminated winter wonderland of colour around every corner.
Oh wow, your last visit during night was Pokemon.. haha.. love it.. did you get lots of Pokemon in the dark? The LightScape whilst it wasn't free, it was just amazing.. and much of the walkway of the Lightscape (eg glass bridge etc) is normally closed from late afternoon.. Incredible views from the areas normally closed of a night time.
Think we spent about hour and half waking the trail. It does depend if how much you stop to take photos or enjoy the many views along the way. This video was last year’s lightscape. I think we did this in less time when we saw it this year. I posted another video of this years trail.

OMG the nights lately have been so cold in Perth that it was almost an effort to rug up and go out to see this.. But it was just wow, Kings Park looked so different all lit up. Such a great experience, I hope the event happens again and just grows each year. So much work had gone into putting the displays together. I can’t begin to imagine all the power cords everywhere..

Thank you Jesura. Yes car parking was free, but it was rather hard to get a car park.. we ended up parking outside the park on the side streets and walking into Kind Park which was great just the walk in its self. They recommend hour to hour and half for your visit.. I guess it depends on how quickly you want to walk through, or if you want to go slow and just take in the view. Note, that whilst the car parking is free, the LightScape Event is ticketed event and you need to get tickets online and or at the ticket booth at the gate. It I thought it was well worth it. I’m sure everyone that goes would enjoy it.

I think the event runs til 30 July. Check the website though, its a ticketed event and you book by time schedules each night.
