I have an idea. Norse mythology using the elements of fire, ice and storm (lightning), native americans and their spirit animals, and japanese shintoism.
This game feels like a demo for a game that was never released, and yet it's one of my favourite games of all time. The setting and the factions are just so inspired!
5:55 my favorite cutscene in this game, whoever designed the Pirata aerodome is an absolute genius. Based on the foundations you can tell that this was some sort of castle fortress (maybe an old condottieri stronghold) that's been repurposed and steampunk'd into an airship fortress. Love it.

This was a huge part of my childhood as well, as was a game called Cossacks. 2 of the best rts games I've ever played, with command and conquer 3 kane's wrath, supreme commander 2, and sins of a solar empire making up my top 5 favorites.
Grandparents got this for me and my grandfather died a year ago. Man this game was supposed to replace RoN but it was its own game that i loved so much.
Good times in my childhood. Wish steam would put this game on there, maybe a few other rts games from the past (like Univers at War). I think we're past the MOBA revolution for now, so hopefully rtss like this can make a come back.
Some games are timeless this is one. I go back time and time again. Found my copy in a bargain bin near 20 yrs ago. 50p it cost me new. Think that's one of the best bargains ever, must have put 10000hrs into this game over the yrs.

My jaw dropped to the floor recently when I found out Sins of A Solar Empire is getting a sequel after 10+ years for example(loved that game, my first 4x rts game). Now my very first rts that I sunk countless hours in was Cossacks European Wars, which I only ever got because a smelly European friend of my family gave it to me to win some good will. That game truly changed my worldview of what video games could be like as I discovered the rts genre.

I downloaded the abondonware version of this game, and at the point where there should have been a final cutscene, my game just cut to a wall of text saying what happened afterwards. I was worried their budget just ran out, but I must of clicked something by accident. Fun game!

i can suugest tryting with GameRanger but probably the error is something different and keep occuring maybe cause of same key ? If you still want to play you can search for middle earth 2 lan issues and apply similar solutions to this game might work

They could not call him the Duce like Mussolini. But that was the idea behind it. Since the the Vinci are name based on Leonardo Da Vinci and his inventions.
The story gots some ideas but couldn't be flesh it out, the cutscenes were to short and oddly place. I would put more quality and details to make it more alive. I found out there were units unused. The 2 from the Vinci you can see in the Doge cutscenes a tank and Doge cannon. I did find Doge cannon unit in scenario editor. To be honest I think they could of had a vehicle structure and had more Infantry options. The Clockwork man and spider in unique structure call Clockwork Machines or something. Even add more air units types like small to medium to large types. Alin, I wouldn't know, magic isn't my most strong point. Cuotl aaaahhh this would be my weakness, I not well verse in it. If you like facts, comment to me about any ideas for improvement.
I wouldn't mind a redesign for the air units, and for the juggernaut. The tank it pretty nice. There was also a cut anti air tower for Vinci as well as a different model for the city defence cannons. The Vinci faction was pretty much the only faction that feels completely finished. This game absolutely needs a remake. It's almost an injustice that it has been left this way. I really wish a group of people would make a fan remake. Clean up the textures and animations for everything to modernize it.
@@brotatochimp good facts. Other factions also needs more work as well even faction base campaigns and not focus on Giamo how ever you spell his name. The ture question is what characters would we focus is the real question.

Well, it's like 15 years old, is considered abandonware, nobody is making any profit from it, and the original developers are out of business. I don't think it does any harm downloading from the Myabandonware website.

The animations are a bit messed up, including facia expressions, but still the dubbing was great and the gameplay was awesome! 8,5/10

The vinci faction is an underdog favorite.
The only problem I have with this is that the framerate is inconsistent sometimes the units move in 60 fps and sometimes they do in 15

Doge cannon is actually used in Vinci campaign, you can find it in Ranconi Bridge mission
