Spectators spiced up the game. We need more of them.
pretty typical over the top, passive aggressive college tennis crowd
13:50-14:22. one of the best exchanges!
That was amazing
Freaking awesome !!!!! Next generation on the way.... older guys like me at 52 can only wish we had pickleball when I was this age, what a cool way to represent your school and college.
The point that starts at 13:51 is fire
This tops any ppa event i've watched, the energy is contagious
Agree..Love the energy…
Agreed- So much more fun to watch than some of the PPA events.
That down line shot at 1:25 was sweet
Thanks for posting. Will watch if there is live streaming.
Pros are now permitted to play at collegiate level?
I guess if they attend that school then yes.
Why do some games score like this and other games on the serving side scores points?
I was wondering too. White shirt guy won his serve and gave ball to black shirt guy. ?
Some sort of collegiate rules different from what the pros play to ensure matches end quickly and on time. Instead of a Best of 3 of matches to 11, they play to 21 and every point counts regardless of who is serving. This makes sure matches will end so the next round can start and there won’t be any third sets that would delay even longer
Why are they not switching on points?
bc they can do whatever they want
@@rusty935 okay. But is that how the tournament is ruled? I’m just curious. I’ve always swapped sides with my teammate on points. Just new to me.
@@DadPeakes lmao im jus playing, it's rally scoring you don't switch
@@rusty935 okay right on. Meaning you don’t need to serve to win points, got it.
Shicky
black hat needs to be more compact countering. lost the game tbh
I would like to see that women’s game to the left , great handspeed
I probably have or will have that posted.
Why do all of them hit such easy to return serves?
Hard to hit an unreturnable serve and likley to make an error trying to do it. Most good players can get back about any serve you hit so not worth the risk of making an error on the serve.
It puts the ball in the air longer and gives more time to reach the no-volley zone. It's a strategic choice, many times if you slam a return the ball you get caught in the middle transition zone, which is the hardest place to return a well-placed shot from.
I’m still not convinced about this sport. Is every point, they all go up to the net and then just soft hit?
Yes the advantage is at the non volley line. That’s the beauty of the kitchen. You can only hit off the bounce when you are inside. pickleball uses a lot of mental strategies.
Not every point 13:51
@@richardkester3664that was a nice point
