- 3 ways to improve balance (in daily activity)!
This is an interesting topic that results in different suggestions depending on who you ask. For example, some people may have issues with their cerebellum or mid-ear that affect their balance. That's not in my usual wheelhouse.
However, from a fitness standpoint, I find 3 major things can help balance.
1.) Mobility
2.) Stability
3.) Awareness-bility (I wanted these to rhyme)
Respectively, these will help you move in and out of comprised positions, maintain your current position, and have the practice and mind-body connection to utilize your mobility and stability.
If that last one seems confusing, consider that there is a "skill" to almost every fitness practice we do. People get much better at push-ups, bench press, etc after they practice for a few days or weeks - even if pure strength and muscle haven't changed much yet! This is a similar concept.
I also tried to find ways to improve balance that people don't have to dedicate the usual sets & reps to. Just things you may want to practice as you live your regular life!
Have a wonderful day!

Okay, can I just express my admiration for you doing all that it flip flops? LoL!
@@j15n5ll5I like how free they feel!
All right, but when you gonna drop that hair care routine?????????????
I got you:
3.) Awareness, your surrounding's visibility
@@HybridCalisthenics I also do most everything in flip-flops. Except for weightlifting. When I step to the bar I am barefoot. :)
Please introduce your kitty friend. Cats are masters of balance and strenghts
Bless you 😺 I wasn't paying enough attention to see kitty. So I watched again thanks to your comment 😻
He's not mine - he just showed up one day and expected me to feed him. I feed and pet him, but I make him work for it (by appearing in videos).
I call him Mr Cat. Or sometimes Meowmie.
@@HybridCalisthenics Mr Cat choose you. Cats are great judges of character and he owns you now.
@@HybridCalisthenics If you feed and pet him AND name him, he's yours now 😸😉👍
@@HybridCalisthenicsnope, he's yours now. That's just how cats work.
"Flexibility to get in, and strength to get out."
Didn't that just describe my college experience.
Nope
@@Beastmaster1221 Um..ok
Cool🤔🤨🧐
Did u finish?
not urs man
The only person who can actually get me to exercise
Because this guy cares about the effectiveness of the body, unlike the people who tell you to exercise just so you look better for other people.

Many of you already know, but this helps new people find it. Every day, many people hear about it for the first time.
Just met with the new app development team today, and I think it went really well! Excited to share more details as we know them. Hoping to launch later this year!
The best DIO pose I've ever seen at the end of the video.
its also called a sissy squat!
Everything is a jojo reference
You thought it was Hampton, but it was me Dio!
WRYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!
@@cinnamorolIBy whom? That's just squatting.
How nice of the mystery kitty to share their video with Hampton.
The kitten high five 🐾🐈👏
Really glad you point out things so often overlooked by others!
This is what I'm currently doing in PT after having ligaments reattached in one ankle. Realizing the differences after the immobilization was eye opening.
There will always come a time when one inevitably JoJo poses in life, thank you for preparing us, Hampton!!!
Hybrid is the kind of person to steal yo girl and make you still want to be friends with him
Except he'd never do that
Hybrid Calisthenics Hampton is the type of guy to see you struggling in life and then help you out.
😂😂😂
He'd never steal your girl. He would talk with both of ya'll to find the source of frustration or unhappiness and resolve it amicably. Whether that means staying together or having a mutual beneficial split.
Absolutely! He's just delightful
Knocked over by strong winds 😂 I get knocked over by turning my head too quickly
Love the guest host 😅
What I'm hearing is that my daily routine of carrying awkward/heavy (sometimes both) objects up and down steep, uneven terrain is good for my balance. Yay! It's also good for my glutes and legs, haha.
For me stairs didn't help. But that's also probably because I paired them with working too much, having too little sleep and too bad a diet all after a few times with COVID. Maaaaybe they'll help me though. I just gotta be extra careful when walking up and down the stairs, because uneven terrain is a no go for me these days (I really have to check my ankles after too many injuries)
@@atriyakoller136 Ah. I have stairs, too, but was thinking more of the hills I walk up & down as I'm setting up temporary paddocks for our sheep. I can see how having all those adverse factors you mentioned would make it super hard for anyone to keep balance!
@@AbigailPoirier yeah, especially considering the fact that I've had terrible coordination since I was very little. Hills are okay, but I gotta train more to walk faster. And small bumps on the ground seem to be my worst enemy
I love how you make things fun and simple, I feel way more motivated to move and exercise when I don't feel like I have to do regimented specific exercises repeatedly, you have such a great attitude ❤
You could be a great anime character.. And you will be!
Excellent vid! LOVE your training partner in this one! 🐾🐈🐾🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💕
This guy got me out of bed after whining like a little man about my muscular pain to realise that it's actually gone. Thanks, bro, keep going!
You are a superhero. And You did all of that in flip flops too!
You totally must upload the cut scenes of this video. I bet was hilarious 😂
I love your relaxed and insightful shorts 🩳
Positive, cheerful, inspiring and smart as always. Thanks comrade ✊🚩
This guy maxed out all his levels and became a boss so now hes helping us common folk reach his level. Respect
Magnificent thank you brother 👍🏻
Bro became the "Stay Flexy" guy
The nicest person you will ever see.😄
Ordinarily when I balance I look like a blimp balancing on a toothpick. But somehow whenever I view your videos I feel like I can loose weight, or I can improve my life. So thanks.
He is the perfect mixture of kindness and motivation even when he's filming his audition tape to play Spider-Man.
Because you can loose weight and improve your life. The key is consistency. Pick small changes that can work forever. That's the beauty with Hamilton's stuff
@@timmanning5206 Thanks. I'm trying and the encouragement helps.
The genius in making this video the script the filming and most importantly the fitness wow
Oh god, Hampton, sometimes i can't figure out how you do your whole day for to have body so skilled.
There's no enough hours and energy in a day, but you make it possible 😆.
I mean, to me it's like a lot of work, having explosive strength, resistant strength, isometric strength, speed, stamina, balance, and almost in every exercise I can imagine, every angle, i watch you and your body have a very good response... and you don't even look like making a big effort 😅!!
I think you have the perfect way of life dude, really healthy and balanced.
What i found most amazing is without shoes and just with loose slippers you're so good at it
I think you’re the first (maybe second) person i’ve found that actually explains beginner beginner exercises, even though i’m pretty young i’ve been embarrassed about not being able to do push-ups, sit-ups/crunches, squats even (they hurt my knees until i figured out how to do them right), and when i saw i think your short about not having to do sit ups to train your core my face was just :O and i acc felt motivated to try and not be lazy, since I also got so tired of just laying around this summer, this is just a very run-on thank you!
You also have vert good vibes!
This guy doing all of this in flip flops makes it even more impressive
Love the paw touch.
Awwwwww the pretty cat!!!!!!! ❤❤
I started recently and my work life has improved drastically
Hampton, thank you for what you do! You’re videos are excellent, very easy to follow along
Love this HAMILTON! Thanks my friend ❤
I was just noticing how bad my balance has become over the past couple years since the pandemic. Weight gain I know doesn't help. This video definitely helps to motivate correctly what I need to do. Thank you!!
I love you even more seeing your sweet cat join in 😍
Found you through a collab with another creator doing the same kind of stuff. Thank you guys for showing us how to master control of our bodies!
This stuff becomes all the more important as you get older. My Dad died two months ago after a series of falls that were caused by his inability to stabilize himself when he even slightly lost balance. I tried to convince him to work on it but he just wouldn't. He had never got into the habit of exercising and he wasn't interested in making the effort at that point.
Okay...your pistol squats are impressive and walking along the fence in flip flops is mega bad ass. Thanks for this!!
Need this for my D1 tryouts next year
I’m a sucker for “how to improve mobility and balance” videos but you really did a great job with this one. Well done !
PS -what song did you have in the background?
he is so chill, i love it
Thank You. Dad and his siblings swore by the simple act of walking. My Dad passed away at 98 he walked as straight and strong as a teenager! As did his sister who also passed away at 98.she lined in San Francisco on Santiago Street and you know that island was not level 😅!
One of the few, if not the only, good fitness influencer out there.
dude does the most impressive shit so casually
Bro love your energy, such genuine positivity 😊
The nicest ninja on the internet.
Must be so fun being able to hang out with kitty on fences and poles
What a great guy 😊
I just got my book n it’s so inspiring!! Tanx Hampton!!
Too much important information in really short time🤔🤔🤔🤔
You're awesome man bro! Thanks a lot for the inspiration 🙌 🙏
The cat adds an element of danger from trip & fall death.
I watch your videos for the "have a beautiful day" at the end.
Just watched "Las historias más perturbadoras contadas por doctores" Hampton was the contrast my heart needed
Love your videos! They tend to help me stop scrolling and do my exercise.
I love how he's demonstrating all these balance skills.... wearing Flip-Flops!!!!!! 😲
You are the best man hahaha you provide so much GREAT content and are so funny doing it!!! Keep it up friend:)
How how how with flip flops? Your technique is such #goals...your awesome and very inspiring ☺️☺️☺️
Your cat is adorable
Thank you! This actually helped with muai thai practice!
Love the fact you do all this in your flip flops
Wise of you to consult the expert on balance and agility 🐱
New subscriber here!! You’re amazing and so peaceful. Keep it up fam!!
Those are the most amazing flip flop tan lines I've seen.
This guy and the "stay flexy" guy need to collab
Good to see an iFunnier doing some good in the world. Never thought I’d see the day
Thanks again my boy 💜💪🏋♀️
This channel is great!
Speed walking with a quite loaded backpack on daily basis actually improved my stability. Irealised it when I slipped caring a big package to a post office and my upper body did not even moved much to return to balance😅 maybe barefoot shoes I wear for a year now also contributed to it🤔
Very informative! ❤
Dude was the main character in odd squad
Just when I thought the videos couldn’t get any better, you added a cat. 🥰
I have enjoyed this, thank u
The fact that he's doing the balancing in flip flops is a wee impressive. Also kitty is super cute 😂
I love this!
Bob Ross of exercise
collab with stay flexy David is needed!
I don't know this is kinda cool
I think you're very cool
@@HybridCalisthenics I'm only about 28% of your coolness
I want this man to be my sensei
Is is great. Thank you!
Thank you bro 🤝
i hate that this man is literally perfect ♥.♥
Man ur going somewhere amazing video
I rarely see stability talked about in mainstream fitness content. Good thing I rarely watch mainstream fitness content.
Your my hero!
Can you do a front lever?
'' have a beautiful day ''
thank you!
I've been ice skating for about 4-5 years, and I've never even thought of this, and it took me much longer to get better at balance 😭
Thank you
So true. I have flexibility naturally, but I need to work on strength.
you have a beautiful day you beautiful, wonderful person
Thank you.
😂😂😂😂, you funny dude! This is my first time watching your stuff.. had too check out more and this cracks me up! Poop!
U da best!
The cat high-five 😂
Hiii bruh i am your big fan since 2021
