if i was a betting man, i'd wager that although the percentages (by definition) much reach 100%, the weighting itself is not (and it doesn't have to, total weighting in game for map drops goes into the millions) out of 100. the weighing looks to me like it may be 1, 2, 4, 8 for a combined total weighting of 15.

at a glance, this seems to fit the data at least as well if not better, in addition to being a much more "elegant" and simple solution.
That would make sense! In 99% of cases the difference would be unnoticeable unless someone was turning in 5-6 mirrors of sets (which I don’t think would be possible supply wise) - the intent was to just give a rough understanding of odds for the sake of replication (i.e. if it weren’t weighted it would be ~2.5x RoI and busted af) - obviously it’s “known” that it’s not equally weighted but previously there were never enough cards to meaningfully give even a semi accurate rate (last league I tried doing it and was never able to get more than 10-15 sets at a time as there were only ever 100-200 cards listed total). Since this league has has stupid increases in card drop rates , and since adorned is only in its 2nd league, and is almost universally BiS regardless of build if min maxed - this seemed like a meaningful data set to publish for future reference / for the rest of the league.
As a side note it’s not uncommon for mathematically assured RoI’s to be in the multiples of principle- even on widely known and long standing mechanics…double corrupting gems for example has been an incredibly lucrative and quantifiable way to do similar for multiple years.
I’ll continue to track the data regardless and perhaps we can definitively speak to what the rates are soon!
Hey Belton, i just wanted to leave a comment letting you know I appreciate the content. I'm unaware of what went on in your past and why reddit seems to have a distaste for you. I personally appreciate your approach to content creation. I enjoy the way you provide a hypothesis, then proceed to back up your claims with empirical data. I think long form content suits this, and you, for the sake of transparency. Most of the things you do in the game are out of reach for me, some of them aren't though and that's also appreciated. regardless, I find your content enjoyable to watch for many reasons, most of which revolve around the expansion of my own game knowledge by means of understanding new concepts through you. I imagine this is your intent here (education), and I think you achieve that goal. Thank you! keep it up, man!
Will be releasing follow up videos on all stages of the “supply chain” to support or discredit the hypothesis offered at the beginning of the video! Next will be turning in 101 sets of the adorned (as 150% is a 1/101 outcome) with a supporting spreadsheet and relevant data… stay tuned!
I just opened 47d worth of sets, got 3 curiosity frags which was pretty lucky imo. Then I had to buy 2 ambition to round it off, so total 51d spent.
146%, 125%, 149%. Some of the best luck I've ever had. About 230d profit!

Just did the same test and I got totally different results.
300+ sets turned in, spent around 550 divines. I only got 11x Curiosity.
500 divine, to get less than 200 divine worth of aspects.
there must such an excess of the other pieces, that i would expect only the rarest aspect to be worth anything in the longer run.

People use 3x voices vs 1x adorned.
Everyone using voices benefits most from a 1p. Some people using adorned don't need the 150 breakpoint.
Natural adorned supply is higher because a) simulacrum is ridiculously unpopular and becomes less so as the league gets older and b) the deep delvers ramp up mid-league and so supply of the most expensive Adorned component increases.
A 150% Adorned is 1/101. A 1p Voices is 1/200
Harder to quantify, but there's nothing comparable to scour/chancing or vaaling vaal side areas for the full jewel for Voices as there is for Adorned. This is the exact type of degen behavior that would ramp quickly in response to a major price spike.
There are 49 150% Adorned on the market right now, including offline. There are only 64 THREE passive or better Voices available.
Awful lot of factors working against Adorned ever reaching the same value as Voices.
Never once asserted that adorned would ever reach the value of voices--- or anything remotely close to that.
I said adorned being contingent on voices use, and voices being very expensive-- drives adorned set ups to be late-league focused in terms of popularity. This means that the abundance of supply they have currently will likely fall off as player numbers drop, but the demand will stay static and/or increase. This combined with the incredibly inexpensive lock+vaaling afforded by black morrigan means the actual magic jewels can be made for quite cheap. Crafting these is not an early league priority, nor is manually synthing jewels. All of that combined, again, favours a late league appreciation.

Also been farming the div card for a good rolled adorned but maybe it’s better to sell them now haha.
