You guys have the best thrift stores in the country. I watch a lot of thrifter channels on here. The book racks at the beginning of your video make me sooooo envious!
Great video! You have so much admirable restraint. I've been buying a lot building up stock for a vintage market this weekend. Afterwards, I need to use this kind of restraint for a few months until fall market prep. Your cat is adorable too 😁
Thank you! It’s been a learned skill to restrain myself. I’ve been collecting more than usual again because I plan to re-open my Etsy shop, but I have enough stuff and told myself no more until the shop is live!
Interesting Velasquez paintings you found. I love thrifting but struggle to find a lot of the same style. I was collecting colored glass rare dishes and murano type stuff but eventually gave up at having it look cohesive. Guess it's a good reason to gind a new place with more space, tough in the city. I ended up donating a lot to neighbors. These days I'm sticking with MCM natural wood and stuff. Easier to decorate with and always looks nice.
That sounds beautiful! It takes time to develop your style and overall look. Thrifting is a low-risk way to experiment with different styles and find what works for and feels like you. Glad you found your “thing”! Thanks for watching ♥️
I recently learned a trick to put out candles without any smoke. I use a toothpick or piece of skewer, you push the wick into the was and it will snuff out the flame with NO smoke at all! But I love that snuffer so pretty
Well done! I love that you really were selective! And the cat hat made me chuckle!😂 If you ever do a meet up, let me know! I have always wanted to go on Laura Caldwell (sp?) Portland thrifting day!🎉💛
Awesome Video!!! You have to "set" boundaries for thrift shopping!!! EVERYTHING pretty is not funtional!!! I like it but do I NEED to buy it??? You have to enjoy thrifing by "looking" not buying!!!! Thank you for sharing!!!!
Love the coats! What a blessing!!
Totally!!
If you get a picture of him in the hat I would love to see it...too cute!!!
I tried to capture it at the very very end of this video.. it didn’t last long though hahaha!

I love the smell of a blown-out candle! it brings back happy birthday party memories!
Aww that’s a good point! I don’t know why it just doesn’t agree with me 🤔
Is that a print of the famous Rembrandt "The Man in the Golden Helmet"? What a great find!
Omg it is! Thanks for identifying it!

That’s a great tip! Do you pull the wick back out of the wax before it hardens? Or how/when do you get the wick out next time you want to light it?
@homegirlcreative yes you just dip it enough to put it out and then place it upright again.
I found a small sombrero at the GW Bins that I had to get for my weiner dog. He didn't like it!
Hahahaha!!!! That sounds so cute though!
