Chandler and Joey are the best friends on the show , but Chandler and Ross are the best "old" friends , they were the first friendship on the show

As far back the story goes Monica, Rachel and Ross, Chandler were friends all these time. Considering Ross is older than Monica and Chandler was classmate of Ross, it's a pretty accurate guess that Chandler and Ross might know each other even before Monica met Rachel.
Anyway, Monica and Rachael stopped talking to each other for quite a long time until the pilot episode of the show.
@@samyeharshel It’s simple, Ross and Monica have known Rachel for years since they were kids. Ross went to college and met Chandler, proof being that the Gellers first met him during Thanksgiving after Ross started college. Doesn’t matter too much but yeah Rachel and Monica are the oldest friendship whilst the next oldest is Ross and Chandler.

Rachel and Monica were friends before cuz during the maid of honour competition Rachel told in her speech that she met when they were 6 year old . And Chandler and Ross met in college so Rachel and Monica are friends for much longer time .

I say this all the time: one of the reasons this show works is because it's hilarious to see what happens when you pair any two of them up because they're all so different! And for Ross and Chandler, I really dig that Chandler will always be Ross' best friend, but Chandler's best friend is actually Joey. It makes the dynamic between the guys so funny!
When said like that it's like Chandler is the popular girl in a love triangle... Both guys like him the best, he's so popular !

he is not hated; he is hated by morons who don't understand that this is a sitcom; also Ross and Rachel were established as star-crossed lovers from the get-go so idk what you expect; and David as Ross is hilarious - he is my fav. Also, Joey spent most of the time on the show having reckless affairs. Ross always loved Rachel. he just tried to move on and couldn't. and why are you in every comment section of Friends? You don't have a life?

If you could win at Friends, Chandler would be the one. Is best friend of not one but two characters, has the most fulfilling and stable relationship, has the highest income, never got divorced, is the first to start his own family (that last prize might be shared with Ross and Rachel as they've already crossed of the biggest x'es with having a kid and having been married at some point, kind of)
Kind of ironic that for the actors it's the opposite story.
