    Thanks for showing outfits without the outer layer! the outer layers are great but need outfits that don’t fall flat when you take it off inside

    Maybe this is ridic but could you do different outfit formulas for different aesthetics? Also, I LOVED your last vid about style uniform. And I figured mine out! I think what is so useful about it is it is a limit. Thinking there is an entire world of clothes out there and then attempting to learn how to style a million different outfits is too overwhelming. But now that I have my uniform it actually opens up possibilities in my wardrobe to exchange different tops. My uniform btw is levis ribcage (or similar high waisted straight jeans) + shirt/sweater + platform shoe (like clog, lug sole bootie, etc). I made a croquis and am now able to "try on" different silhouettes of tops as well. And I used your notion template, thank you!!

    Love these! Another uniform I love is tshirt or sweater + maxi/midi dress + sneaker/boot. I love being able to switch whether the tshirt goes over or under the dress and feel like you can get really versatile depending on the shoes you wear with it!

    I have a gray wool cardigan from Benetton I bought in London 35 years ago that looks like yours. It has a moth hole near the wrist but is still versatile. I don’t wear wool turtleneck or mockneck so I wear this cardigan like a base layer.

      If you call around (tailors, seamstresses, fabric stores, etc), you might be able to find a re-weaver to repair the moth hole.

    If you wear an oversized cropped knot vest between tee and blazer, it’d add more visual interest (say, an argyle eyelash vest) and warmth without bulk.

    I think tall people are lucky .they can wear anything and look nice

    • @Cammay15
      @Cammay15 ปีที่แล้ว +47

      5'8 girl here and this is a very common misconception ☺️ Lots of things are too short or just look too short on us. And lots of things are too tight if we have broad shoulders. Waist emphasis also isn't the best on someone who has a more column shaped body which many people (tall and short) have. Also, some tall people are just long and narrow and can't really pull off an oversized look. Basically, tall people don't all have the same body type and not all styles are going to be suited for every body type. I recently started learning about the Kibbe typing system (I'm a Flamboyant Natural) and it's been fun figuring out what actually looks best on me 💗 We all are so uniquely beautiful.

      I’m 6’1” and slim and fitting my body (including my size 12 feet) is both difficult and expensive, not to mention lack of options for “tall”. At 55, I have really come to appreciate my personal style and try to always purchase quality for long term use. I think if you’re either side of what clothing manufacturers think is “average”, clothing can be a challenge.

    • @IshitaSaha055
      @IshitaSaha055 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I am 5’10” and I seriously cannot buy sweatpants because of length 😢😢 I can only buy bottoms from Zara

    • @kasiaml3373
      @kasiaml3373 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I can’t agree, as a tall person I often find clothes which are amazing but too short for me, trousers skirts dresses or even long sleeve tops

    • @ifetayodavidson-cade5613
      @ifetayodavidson-cade5613 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Many pants are made for an average height woman (5’4” in the USA) to wear with heels. There is also a range of “tall” so it depends.

    How do you make some of these looks more winter appropriate? Especially the button up outfits? I really want to wear my button ups in the winter but would be freezing in them!

    • @IssieAndLife
      @IssieAndLife ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like to use layers to keep warm in the winter, so add a vest, or thermal leggings, etc.

    • @ifetayodavidson-cade5613
      @ifetayodavidson-cade5613 ปีที่แล้ว

      add a camisole AND long underwear underneath, and maybe a t-shirt as well. You could also put a sweater/jumper over the button up shirt.

    Dear Christina!
    I so much love your black wide-leg-pants, which fits you really very well! I am surching for ones like these thince several months. I have checked out the ones you mentioned from Aritzia and Djerf Avenue, both are 100% polyester. So my question is how they are to wear? Isn't it unpleasent to have polyester directly on the skin? And what about in the colder month? Aren''t you frezzing with them? I live in Austria where we sonetimes have stronger winters and I would like to wear them in autumn as well as in winter. Would love if you could give me some recomandations!
    Thanks a lot!

    • @Christinamychas
      @Christinamychas  ปีที่แล้ว

      I usually do Long underwear if it’s really cold or I layer sweatpants over them when I walk to work. It’s a lewk haha - the effortless are thicker than Djerf, they’re at least lined so it helps. But I don’t own any like wool or winter appropriate dress pants!

    I love the feel of silk but I'm so sad it's not environmentally friendly. Silk production takes a lot of water and energy, silk farms have to be kept at controlled temperatures, and harvesting the cocoons uses both hot water and hot air.

    I know its not really your thing, but can you do a video on applying trends/patterns to your style uniform.
    So for me, i love boho style and activewear and I am loving the 70s vibe, which means a lot of bold patterns and quirky stuff. I’m trying to get things on sale so they dont break the bank, knowing it will go out of style. How do i make my style uniform fit with this? I’m in the big O and its fffck cold and unpredictable weather coming up.. so my shorts dont work anymore lol.

    • @ah57588
      @ah57588 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      My personal tip: 1. Choose your loud pieces wisely and make sure they match with your current wardobe. This can be through cut, vibe or color. I tend to choose black and white detailing because of this. 2. Treat the loud items as statement pieces and the focal point to set the mood of the outfit. 3. Choose your uniform items to match said mood. Ex have some fun 70s flair pants? For a flowy top, or shawl to bring that funky casual vibe throughout the rest of the outfit. I tend to lean more gothic so black everywhere else is what inevitably happens for me. 'The Stichess' has some interesting videos using a super pastel but small wardobe if you want more info. Hope this helps
