I'm going to just put a different perspective on it since looking at it from your perspective isn't something that would be from a place of empathy. Basically, there is a large stereotyping based on the reality that most rich or famous people have Latino "help". It is usually the only Latino interaction they have, so therefore it becomes second nature to assume certain things about other Latinos due to their interaction.
The reason it's offensive is because the young man didn't reflect before making his statement, and considering that he might have been received in a negative manner. No offense, but most white people don't see a problem with it, AND THAT'S THE PROBLEM.
Just a little shine from an older woman. And because I know some youngin is going to point it out because they haven't developed the logic, depth and understanding, I felt the need to respond not for you, but for the other people who read your comment and wondered why you made your statement.
