We Spread was the first book I read in 2024.. I was crying so hard by the end of the book and I was thinking to myself “did I read this wrong?” First time a horror book has made me sob. 10/10. Iain Reid is amazing.
I'm just getting back to reading for 2024 and have purchased a lot of the books you've recommended. I can't wait to get started. Fantastic best books of 2023 video! 💕🤗💕
Hailey is keeping us so well fed for the holidays with this content! Thank you! You and I mesh on most of our books but Seven Days in June was so disappointing to me. I feel like there was an element of insta-love in the backstory and I felt they were more trauma bonded vs. in love and it kind of took me out of the romance. I am so sad about it because I wanted to love it. I ordered Cackle and Such Sharp Teeth for Christmas so I'm going to read more Rachel Harrison in 2024. After reading Bad Dolls, I need more!
These all sound so interesting! I think I'm going to have to add Rachel Harrison's books to my tbr for next year, and I kinda want to try Full Brutal too.
You have made me want to read the perfect thin ASAP ! Can’t wait for that in 2024. And also amazing to see an ACOSF on here I had the same experience with acotar this year and my first fantasy trip, LOVED IT can’t wait to get to silver flames in Jan x
I just discovered you and am happy that I did. I appreciate some interesting books mentioned. Definitely will be following you and adding a few to my TBR. Thanks. Happy New Year😊😊
Thanks for the video, great work! Could you please please do a vid on Rachel Harrison’s books? Like where to begin with her, recurring themes, etc.? 🙏🏻
I read a comment on IG that said, "SA Crosby writes Free My Man thrillers," and I've never heard anything so true. Like, are these characters doing the right thing? 😬 Do I understand where they're coming from? 🤔 Like, dissecting the morality of his protagonists will have you acting like the girl sampling kombucha
This was a pleasure to watch, and compare notes on 😉 If you like the plight of the eldest daughter, in a southern gothic setting, I would HIGHLY recommend A Dark Roux by Blaine Daigle! I read it as a Netgalley ARC and has become one of my top reads of the year!
Hey Hailey, I am reading Playing Nice after hearing you talk about it, and it is really good!! Can you recommend any other books on family drama? Have you read The Husbands by Chandler Baker?
Love the variety of books! I've been hearing so many good things about Seven Days in June... I hope I get to check it out in 2024 👀 also your christmas decor is so cute!!! 🥰🎄 my favorite book of 2023 was probablyyyyy Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus
My fav book of 2023 was also the last book that I read of the year. I finished it on Dec 30th. It was the Change by Kiersten Miller. I loved it! It took me completely by surprise. It’s a feminist/magical realism read. Also there’s an ongoing mystery throughout the book. It was so good
I’m catching up on your content after taking a break from reading for a year due to school and studying for my boards. However if your in a vampire era you should read Suffer The Children by Craig Deloiue or how ever you spell it lol. Creepy kids who come back to life as “vampires” but not really haha idk how to explain it. It makes you consider who the real villain of the book is.
50 minute video ON CHRISTMAS DAY? We don’t deserve you 💗
Thank you for recommending Cackle, it was a light and breezy read. Loved the book cover!
omg over 40 five star books in a year is literally so awesome, so glad you had a great reading year!!

I read Fantasticland while at Universal in Florida. It was epic.

"but with a bisexual vampire kind of twist" OK THEN 😍
Dead Inside's my favorite "extreme horror". It handles the topics well and is pretty funny at times.. :p

Have you read the last guests by J.P Pomare
The passion of new Eve by Angela Carter it's my fav in this year
Weirder book I ever read so far lmao, but it's to be a classic I think

I’m the opposite to you, I hate Nesta 😅😅😅 so I DNF’d ACOSF
Not unhinged in this one. Thanks
i could not get through that Austin book; I don't know why... I think the author was trying too hard with the anxiety..
I wish you were my best friend end of . ❤
