    I get squimish when i see surgeons drag those strings so fast i thought the friction rips the fibers from the inside. Best demonstration ever without the blood.

    I just got my distal hamstring tendon repaired. It was my orthopedic first time doing a distsl hamstring repair that was retracted over 2months. I saw his video of what he did and he slightly over lapped my to tendon prices and did a Cris cross looking technique. I hope I heal quickly..I'm tired of being hurt. Been 4weeks on Monday.

      @Bear that's a Dave it healed very well. After 4 months I was back to jogging. I have been part of several studies in my area due to how rare it is and how long I was with out general care after the tear. I have been recorded so many times in each process.

    I recently had an Evans Osteotomy combined with a tendon transfer. I wanted to know how tendons are sutured as surely they must endure very high tension? Having watched the video, I'm still surprised the sutures survive the strain they are put under. Surely it will always be a point of weakness in the tendon, however good the suture is?

      Don't take cipro , ever .. if you've never taken those , you're NOW allergic in my opinion... You have a compromised tendon.... You'll blow the tendon if you take those ..

    I just lacerated my extensor tendon and cut the top node, closest to my finger tip on my pip joint. Getting my tendon sutured Tuesday however, doc says I most likely won't be able to use my trigger finger again because I sawed that off

    • @Shadowborg
      @Shadowborg ปีที่แล้ว

      How did your recovery go? I lacerated the extensor tendon on my trigger finger at my dip joint 10/30/22. I had tendon repair surgery on 11/18. It's now 1/13, and Im in physical therapy. My pip joint was very stiff and hard to bend, but its getting better. I can barely move the dip joint though. I can pull a trigger now but its difficult and painful due to the nerve damage. Hoping to improve with time.

    I have watched some videos of surgeons using this knot then sewing all the way around the edge like sewing two bits of fabric together and the patient was able to start movement in the first week .I think that your method was used for my operation 3 weeks ago and I'm concerned about the movement I'm having .this technique leaves frayed tendon exposed and your not supposed to move for a month frayed tendon adheres to scar tissue leading to more problems.my laceration is across my wrist over the top not only do I think he used this method but he used surgical glue on a joint over the top of tendons I don't think this surgery should be done as a standard emergency room procedure it should be done by a specialist with the knot that gives you movement in the first week this is so basic with the potential for more problems leading to tougher rehabilitation or more surgery.a knot that takes a bit longer shouldn't be a problem when its a limb of such importance

      Yes, however if your tendon torn it may require major surgery. Dr told me Tendons can retract as far as elbow. Go to an orthopedic hand specialist. If you have no mobility, chances are you have either torn your tendon or damaged a nerve.

      vijitha amarasena I did the same too. 2 weeks ago today. I got surgery on my middle extensor tendon 2 days later. My tendon looks severely swollen, I have no clue if it will stay like that but I have another appointment in 4 weeks. And I’ll be going into therapy. I can make a fist and straighten my hand after 2 weeks. My tendon still feels very week and every time I go to straighten the tendon I can feel the scar. I don’t know wether the scar tissue is causing the swelling but my only concern is wether it will go down. Hopefully it will but you should get yours checked out ASAP.

      Fareed Badry Yeah it been over a year now. And my hand was fully able to move after 3 months of the injury. Don’t worry bro you will still be able to use your hand, you’ll just have a bit of scar tissue which will gradually go down but won’t look the same.
