    Odoo too has the same challenge of finding SI. Even Odoos own in-house team seems to lack maturity. Just because a system is flexible does not mean workflows can be configured to whims. Optimizing workflows needs functional experience

    My 2 cents here is that Odoo is allowing to use all the TAX regulations in the same production environment, where Microsoft Business Central requires you to buy and create a new prod environment to have access to the location TAX setup. The fact that we need to have different prod environment under a single tenant is not allowing us to consolidate, or to use the intercompany features. Business Central is not built to help global companies, and specifically the one trying to have a couple entities throughout Europe (each country = one prod environment = $500/month/prod envi. additional)

    I like Odoo in theory, but I think it (being implemented in Python) can be a bit slow (to start up; perhaps it's okay after some "cache-warming"). I would guess Odoo might not be best if you are aiming at scale (hundreds or 1000+ users), but I don't know much about Dynamics' performance. PowerApps seemed quite slow to me at times, almost three years ago, but I'm sure MSFT is working hard at improving it. (I know a Seattle Odoo consultancy has once run Odoo on PyPy, according to an old post of theirs; I wonder if that is worth considering for situations where scaling is needed.)

    I came from odoo and there is absolutely no comparison between odoo and BC. BC wins hands down in almost every single category. Odoo is still a baby compared to BC.

      Can you elaborate?

    • @hueiyik
      @hueiyik 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@egodyla1 Odoo is not a cloud. It is on prem hosted online that's it. BC is real cloud like salesforce where update is automatic and required.

      @@hueiyik Thank you so much.....what makes a cloud version real cloud ? The absence of an on prem version? Or the fact that the cloud version is fully managed and mantained by the supplier? Because Odoo does the latter, they even upgrade your customizations (allthough not 3rdparty ones)...Notarguin here,only trying to understand

      @@egodyla1 just try business central and you’ll know. Odoo is 5-10 years behind. 3rd party app is no issue for Microsoft real cloud where updates are automatic even with 3rd party app. Also it’s Microsoft and integration with msft suite is seamless

      @@hueiyik I think Odoo being run on-premises is a good thing, gives enterprises more flexibility and control over their ERP system. Of course, you'll need an I.T. staff to roll updates.
