    I like being able to adjust the thrust angle. That is a great way to do this. You're going to have me flying free flight one day Cliff! Very interesting how you do this. It all makes changing the band easy. Really looking forward to your trim flights!

      You're welcome, just passing on knowledge I've learnt from TH-cam as well and I guess from a little bit of experience 👍

    Oh man This was great instruction, I have several Guillows kits I plan to start building next year when I finally retire from the oil an gas industry.

    I hadn't realised rubber power was so technical, well explained Cliff 😀👍

      Keep things simple is also a good idea, (that Ajax is calling me as well) 👍

    And here I thought that thrust angling required lots of extra cutting and re-gluing!

      Hi C, it's useful being able to make adjustments as you try for the perfect flight 🙂👍

    Very nice explanation. I need to focus on the braiding part. It gets all confusing with loops and lengths and all that. Thx for sharing!

    When I was young I had a model with a small gearbox. As I recall it allowed two motors to turn the one prop. Are such gearboxes available these days?

      @CliffHarveyRCPlanes  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Colin, not to my knowledge, reading on RC Groups it's more efficient to have a decent prop and motor these days, here's an interesting thread, cheers www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?1550174-Need-gearbox-for-rubber-power

    i built a Dumas De Havilland beaver, the nose plastic nose turned inside out as soon as i started winding the rubber. i should have filled the nose with balsa like you did here. thank you for sharing.

      Hi OU, yes, the noseblocks aren't very thick plastic are they, this little tip really makes a big difference, thanks for commenting, cheers.
