So glad you reacted to this one. I think he IS an incredibe poeta. To be a raper and to Talk about all he thinks IS bad, great. And also the song latino América IS hopefull , here we are ,we dont leave , we stillwalk. Really good , again I really enjoyed your reaction
Augusto Pinochet was a Chilean dictator who came to power after leading a coup d'état on September 11, 1973. During his military regime, he implemented a policy of repression that included censorship, persecution, forced disappearances, and executions. It is estimated that over 40,000 people were victims of human rights violations, with thousands of political opponents killed or disappeared. Similarly, Operation Condor was an international campaign of repression coordinated among the military dictatorships of South America during the 1970s and 1980s, supported by the United States through the CIA. Pinochet played a crucial role in this operation, collaborating with other authoritarian regimes, such as those in Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, and Bolivia, to eliminate political dissidents through torture, assassinations, and forced disappearances. This transnational network allowed the dictatorships to exchange information and work together in repressive acts, expanding the scope of their human rights violations. On the other hand, Víctor Jara (who is also mentioned in the video) was a Chilean singer-songwriter. After Pinochet's coup, Jara was arrested, tortured, and executed in the stadium of Chile (as shown in the video This Is Not America), which had been turned into a detention center. His murder became a symbol of the atrocities committed by the military regime.
I would recommend the songs "Guerra" that means War... its just hard but so necessary, also "Ojos color sol" just to have an uplifting love song on the row with calle 13, thanks for your reactions mate.
I love whem somebody discover calle 13 And i love this song not judt because it helps me on school to keep my test on social and history but listen it give me comfort. Also all the reference and u can still look in to information but i love because it just go with music
On the other hand, I would also recommend listening to a rapper from Venezuela (he passed away due to the government at that time and his manager). He has very profound lyrics and is considered the best conscious rap artist in Latin America. He died in 2013, but his music is still relevant today, and his message will never be forgotten. Because only those who are forgotten truly die. This song is from 2012 th-cam.com/video/XiblZizLDBQ/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=CanserberoinEnglish
I left puertorrico( where he is from) 40 years ago before he started music. And my experience with american rap left me not liking rap. Thanks for introducing me to a rap artist from my own homeland that is actually talented and awesome. This is what rap should be a commentary of what is wrong or right with our world. Thanks to you i was exposed to Residente and have been enjoying most of his songs
Hi! I just got to know you and your channel; I really enjoyed your commentary on “El Aguante”, and as you mentioned in 11:38 , if you would like to listen to another “lyric-heavy” song by Calle 13, I’m eager to hear your opinions on “Multi_Viral”. Great work!!!
I'm not the biggest fan of reggaeton (some of the biggest stinkers in music history hail from this genre), but Calle 13 gave us some surprising bangers. 😊
Nice reaction! Pls react to Canserbero, one of the best rapper in Spanish (I think the best) I recomend you Un dia en el Barrio Es épico (The most know song of him) Americanos C'est la mort Mundo de Piedra Querer Querernos (Just a Poem) Try to find a version with captions (Of course haha) If you like Residente (Calle 13), You will like Canserbero. Residente did a tribute in one of is song (He's dead), I don't remember which, but is someone that is respect for almost all the people and artists in America.
