Nice review! And thank you for doing it, I’ve been watching you guys for so long I’ve seen so many good shows and movies from watching your reviews on it. I like start to watch reviews and if the story interest me and your reaction is positive I stop your review halfway go watch it then come right back finish watching your review haha I know it’s weird.
Great review! Loved this book & show by Dan SImmons. You didn't actually say it is based on a real historical event. These ships really did leave to find the passage and were trapped for three years in artic ice - and were never heard of again. Some of the characters really existed, others are amalgams of real people. This is one of my favourite things about Dan Simmons recent novels - they are historical tales based on the real events given a fictional twist. Brilliant! Also, 2nd season is great - WWII era story about Japanese internment camps (which really happened) but given a ghost story overlay. Both are slow burners but both really satisfying.
This is a great series. Much scarier then American Horror Story. Season 1 was outstanding and a brilliant cast. Season 2 is very good too but very different. I loved that season 2 used a true historical time and place to tell their story using a huge Asian cast.

That's a neat way to do it, Destiny!
I didn’t find it particularly slow, but maybe that’s because I love a slow burn 😅

Just finished season one. It was fantastic, very well done. Looking forward to starting season 2 soon.
Just started watching season one tonight. On episode 3 now, very good show! Thanks for the review!

Imo season 2 is better. I loved the atmosphere and setting
Reading Dan Simmons book Drood at the moment
Loved season 1!
The book was incredibly slow as well. I love Dan Simmons but some of his books have serious pacing issues *side eyes Carrion Comfort*.
lol
I watched season 2. I liked the Japanese Horror elements and how it intertwined with the real life horror of the interment camps.
I actually felt cold when watching this
