I think I will try this experiment but only applying voltage to the spinning arm for the snowflake effect. (This one has a gear-driven snowflake arm mechanism, and I have a belt-driven mechanism that might not jam under high voltage)
Btw the max voltage adapter for the spinning snowflake snowman is 12V. But with one of those voltage box thingys, you can break the limit of adapter voltage!
Those voltage boxes are actually called a bench power supply and they are really cool things to have because you can set them to give ANY voltage at ANY current
Great video but i have to ask you. Didn't the circuit board parts had to be repaired too to make the sound work again with the motors? Like didn't they get overvolted?
@@highvoltagetoys2nd That makes sense. It’ll be sad because you honestly fixed him really well. 😆 I have a few of these guys myself that have needed extensive repairs as well, they’re old but they’re such iconic Christmas decorations.
You did ok, but a few things I want to point out is that to fix the hips, all you have to do is bust the zip tie on the bottom, pull the skin up and remove the shafts and legs. You don’t have to completely remove the skin. Then for the spinning arm and the hat, I have a video on my channel of how I do it.
edit the title and add the word GEMMY which is the brand of it.. that toy is a very classic collectable that has a full community of it. the video will get more attention and appreciation from the GEMMY community if you add that detail.. "How To Repair the GEMMY Spinning Snowflake Snowman"
NEVER applies voltage to a gemmy industries animatronic item!!! They are having values of every lots of collectors on this gemmy community. You should do only for the knockoffs one that we have no cares about them.
@@Extremelybadpiggies no, they need those to properly hip swing. The shoes are on basically every snowflake spinning snowman, except the small versions
Finally a good video of what's inside One of these things! This should help me better understand what's wrong with mine if it breaks. Thanks.
I’m honestly really excited to see how this will act on high voltage
same i already know the sound is gonna go first
I’m gonna be waiting for the lights to fly off lol

Nice to see a full in depth tutorial on how to fix these, also when you do end up making the high voltage video, what do you usually do to these?
He uses wires directly to the battery and once it fails, he connects direct to motor.

NEVER use a 12v adapter on ANY Gemmy item. These require a 6v 800mAh adapter.
Can't wait to see it in high voltage soon!
Wait WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for your help im going to attempt to fix mine
Thanks for the help

The sound chip fried out and no longer works. Once it hit about 30 volts, the actual programming part died as well.
I got one for Christmas!
That video will be hilarious
I used to have that back in 2021
Nice fix, but in all seriousness, what point does it make to fix it if you’re just gonna fry it out later lol
Because some people are offended when I fry something that works fine. At least I use junk.

FINALLY YES THANK YOU SO MUCH
Snowman has boots underneath snow??????😱😱😱😱😱
Please don't over-volt this, these are very valuable and sought after by collectors.
they arent that expensive
@@SlimothyJimothy I never said expensive, I said they're valued, meaning more people than usual would be quite upset if this got ruined.
i am a collector and i find this content interesting and funny

Thanks for your input! I will take your input into consideration.😊👍🏻
Was this before or after you applied high voltage to him ?
This was beforehand. He fixed it so that it would actually behave differently on different voltage
Yay!
I Mr. White Christmas😊😅
PLEASE DONT APPLY HIGH VOLTAGE TO IT

good job. is it rare?
YES, and usally 100-270 bucks, but back when they where in production 20 bucks

Would you be willing to repair mine?

Actually the knockoffs are more rare
Especially the Knockoff Snowflake Spinner is Rare!
Oh, alright I know but EXCEPT the Chinese ones I'm thinking about, they are super common.
He already applied high voltage to a Gemmy item your kind of late
He specifically had a pole to ask if he can do it.

Why the heck did they hide the shoes inside
Idk
They reused the mold from the dancing Santa’s, which have the same boots
