I LOVE THE DETAIL OF ETHO PROTECTING GRIAN AND CLEO DESPITE BEING A ZOMBIE, its such a cute detail because from the looks of it after they become zombies the watchers take over their minds and make them blood thirsty, which is why Gem looks so enraged but also kinda confused by him trying to protect his friends. Then there is cleo and Grian just looking smug asf.
The type of madness the bogey(zombie) curse is in my oppinion not one that overwrites personality, but rather pushes them to the end of their willingness. In the case of Etho, there was a clear line that will not be crossed
While I’m not necessarily sold on it, I love the idea that that etho was so strong willed he was able to fight off the watchers influence. At least enough to not hurt his Allies.
@@Mattis06 I think that's still a case of loyalty tho, except instead of like in Secret Life where he was loyal to very few people in Wild Life he is loyal to a lot of people, which in the end will be harder for him because one way or another he will have to betray at least one group of people probably more, so his loyalty is still the flaw
Initially I was like oh cool it's a Secret Life animatic. Then I saw it was Everen and I was like oooooh ok this is going to be a banger. Then I saw the cover and realized this was a sequel to the Secret Life animatic and now I simply can't wait. This is about to be sooooo good!
The addition of the red feather circling Grian to represent his curse amazing. No one ever talks about his curse of losing people, only ever the canary curse.
i dont get why widows curse is a thing when its not even true, it was literally broken in last life where Martyn was the last southlander coming 3rd not Grian, Grian didnt even outlive joel who was his temporary ally that season and technically grian didn't even outlive scar in double life as he died first (going by how pearl is considered the winner because scott died just before her). Side note this is even worse if you consider real life as grian was the first one out that series.
@@ranjanasharan4051 Well it did happen in 3rd Life, Limited Life, Secret Life and now Wild Life. In Last Life Martyn betrayed Grian and changed team so technically I'd say it still counts. The only exception would be Double Life, I don't know what to think about that one but Scar did lose 2/3 of their lives.
Did anyone notice how on the stained glass window, If you look closely, there's a black line connecting Grian and Scar together and another one connecting Scott and Pearl together. The first one is pointing to the watcher symbol, and the second one is pointing to Scott and Pearls hearts representing Double Life
I actually think Grian and Scar's are also connected to their hearts, the Watcher symbol just blends with Scar's heart a bit. But his heart is pink while the symbol is purple/magenta.
The way it slowly gets louder and more intense as they say “look at all the lonely people” and when it becomes a full chorus and it feels like they’re screaming in your ears (if your wearing headphones) *chills*
replacing "life" on Joel's sweater with "everen" is so funny. another amazing animatic, your ability to convey emotion through art is always something I will be awed by
1:26 I love the look on Scott’s face after this scene because he knows that making an agreement with Pearl can go either way, seen this season by then teaming up and in double life with the unhinged Pearl. Also I absolutely love the glass art you do, it looks amazing. The end shot of them all look incredible

this felt so profound, so cutting, especially if this is to be your last "bigger budget" life series animatic, it had a wonderful final hit to it!! every frame carries so much weight.... ohhhhh how wonderful it has been!!
What I love about these is it brings such a cool serious tone to a series that's meant to be light-hearted and silly. This one will be added to my list of videos I watch every month lol. Makes me think all the different life series could almost have their own dramatic short series that displays all the events that happen.
Ive been lurking in so many streams, waiting for this moment! I think ive watched every one of the streams working on this. Usuallt i lurk, sometimes i talk, but i consider myself so lucky to have seen this animatic come to life in bits and pieces and IM SOOO HYPE GAHHHH
I swear, Everen never misses with these animatics! This is so frickin' cool, the song choice is perfect like it always it, and the art is just so beautiful as always. I can't even- I'm excited to see Martyn and Jimmy react to it now. The beginning hits so hard with all the teammates of the fallen members morning, Especially Joel being the only one morning for Lizzie as he was truly her only teammate/ally. And of course the fence made it's way into the animatic. It's truly so beautiful, and god I can never get enough of the stained glass style drawings of the winners.
The sequel has arrived! I love the glass art at the end, as always. I noticed that each winner has a heart in their portrait, which I feel represents how they still hold onto the ones they lost and cared about. They are the lonely people, the lone winners, and they will cherish those who had to die to reach their victory. Also, Grian and Scar’s portraits both have purple and red flecks. I haven’t watched Third Life personally, so correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe they represent the flowers Scar gave to Grian back then. It shows how they are still connected and soulmates after all this time (Desert Duo). I like how you incorporated Martyn’s comet symbol, making it look like both a comet’s tail and a blood-soaked cloth, representing Martyn’s ruthless victory. Overall, amazing work once again, Everen!
There are few animatics that have made me feel so emotional as this one. I cried. I cried legitamite tears. The slow, mournful beginning; the frame transitions with the sharp beats of the song; the overwhelming chorus over the various players taking their last stands,,, this is a masterpiece. I will never forget it.
I have to say after watching all of your Life series animatics again I'm noticing you're not just a great artist, but you also have fantastic sense of cinematic direction. You do such a good job conveying both story and emotion with careful composition, scene choice, sequencing, it's all lovely. Always happy to see your work, and of course. Well done on this one!

In the description they explain that making the work to make the animatics has taken away from the joy of actually watching the series so they decided not to make one for Wild Life so they could actually watch it for fun without having to worry about how to turn it into an animatic. Which they 100% deserve to do.

My favourites! Etho protecting his teammates, what a badass shot. The slice on a dark screen before revealing Scar's injured face. The burning heart of the Heart Foundation and Tango holding back Skizz, reminded me of how Jimmy held him back previously when the ranch burned down. And the ending mosaic, of course!
We see that the legend returns to amaze us after observing the wonders of the "wild life" and becoming inspired to share with us the memories created from a past life.

This particular animatic does take a pretty sharp turn at 2:00. as you go from some absolutely incredible buildup of the boogey curse to showing the rest of the series really quickly. I imagine this is from your loss of motivation/wanting to close the door on making more animatics for this series, and that's fair. Every single piece of art in isolation is astounding, but yeah, I think you correctly identify that there is a very sudden jump to the end. Even with that, though. I mean... wow. I'm still just so astounded by every single shot. I wish you the best on whatever projects you work on next, and I hope you enjoy the life series more again while viewing it as a spectator!

I LOVED THIS! The final art was so beautiful. I know we have seen the stained glass art before but adding scar as the new winner off a series and having 5 stained glasses looked really really good! And i also love the detail at 2:17 where you see the canary curse feathers around Jimmys hand! And the watcher logo behind Scar both in the final scene and on his stained glass! You can see very clearly that you have put down alot of time and energy and that is so great to see :) ! Gosh I love the appearance of gem being a badass but just the way echo still stands by his allies despite being a zombie. The way it looks like gem kinda becomes the watchers campion only for their attention to turn to scar.
Your animatics are legitimately some of the only ones that make me cry (along with passerine). Amazing touch of Etho protecting Grian and Cleo and defying the watchers.

There are few animatics that have made me feel so emotional as this one. I cried. I cried legitamite tears. The slow, mournful beginning; the frame transitions with the sharp beats of the song; the overwhelming chorus over the various players taking their last stands,,, this is a masterpiece. I will never forget it.
I love how fitting the starting was, with how everyone was being alone, either from losing your teammate, or just being alone

In the description they explain that making the work to make the animatics has taken away from the joy of actually watching the series so they decided not to make one for Wild Life so they could actually watch it for fun without having to worry about how to turn it into an animatic. This particular animatic does take a pretty sharp turn at 2:00. as you go from some absolutely incredible buildup of the boogey curse to showing the rest of the series really quickly. I imagine this is from your loss of motivation/wanting to close the door on making more animatics for this series, and that's fair. Every single piece of art in isolation is astounding, but yeah, I think you correctly identify that there is a very sudden jump to the end.
Even with that, though. I mean... wow. I'm still just so astounded by every single shot. I wish you the best on whatever projects you work on next, and I hope you enjoy the life series more again while viewing it as a spectator!

I LOVED THIS! The final art was so beautiful. I know we have seen the stained glass art before but adding scar as the new winner off a series and having 5 stained glasses looked really really good! And i also love the detail at 2:17 where you see the canary curse feathers around Jimmys hand! And the watcher logo behind Scar both in the final scene and on his stained glass! You can see very clearly that you have put down alot of time and energy and that is so great to see :) !
