    Thank you for this tutorial series. I was always struggling with the node-based materials in blender and that's the main reason why I didn't progress with this software. Your tutorials help me a lot to understand creating materials.

    Adding the loop cut 80 times is a much easier way than subdividing right?

    • @RyanKingArt
      @RyanKingArt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lol! Well I added the bevel, so that's why I added the loop cuts instead of subdividing. 🙂

    Ok, so I try to export this texture as an stl to use in a gaming terrain tile and it comes out smooth. What am I doing wrong?

    • @RyanKingArt
      @RyanKingArt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It doesn't work like that. This is just a texture, not actual mesh data. You will need to sculpt, or displace the mesh if you want it to be rough and bumpy. This is just material displacement.

    When I addes the dispalacement node, nothing happened, Why?

    • @RyanKingArt
      @RyanKingArt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Make sure to turn on the settings that I turned on at the beginning of the video to get the displacement to work.
