Syracuse Zone Defense Added Notes:
General Rule:
Pressure the 3 point shot
Get shooters uncomfortable getting them off their spots
Up Top:
Get up on Shooters
Sag off on Passers and Penetrators
High Post:
The opposition shoots around 20% from the high post.
Corner:
If the ball gets into the corner and the wing player is out of position. The center will need to help and get out on the corner shooter.
Recruiting:
Syracuse recruits players that are long to occupy space in the zone making passing angles difficult.

The one weakness of the 2-3 is the 3 pointer. What are you talking about?

I don't at the moment. I would be interested in making one! I have ran a 2-3 matchup zone as a coach and when I was a player in high school. Would you prefer one like The Syracuse 2-3 zone video or one with just the diagram animation?
