I haven't heard very many people really nail down that sound from the old Gameboy games, but you really got it right here. If they went back and did a Rockman World today, drawing from main series games the same way they used to, I would want a Wily stage theme to be exactly this.
@@kilizero1979 It would be another time that Bass is playable on a handheld besides the Game Boy Advance remake of Mega Man & Bass, as well as Mega Man & Bass 2: Challenger from the Future from the WonderSwan.
I've just discovered something really sad. A certain really, _really_ good GameBoy-style remix of Mega Man 6's final boss theme seems to have been deleted. I don't have it saved anywhere nor do I remember who originally made it. It truly became nothing but an abandoned memory... 😞
Made me start working on a “Mega Man World 9” or “Mega Man 9 GB” in Mega Man Maker, using weapons and Robot Masters from 9 and 10 only. It’s just a tribute to the Game Boy games.
This is a fantastic Game Boy Cover. Altho, I wanted to hear the aformentioned MM9 GB Cover that inspired you too, but upon clicking the link it says "This Video is Unavailable."
Ah, that's unfortunate. Not much I can do about that since I didn't save that video or anything. Maybe I'll make my own version at some point, I dunno.
_Rockman World 9,_ huh? _Mega Man 5 + 6_ >>> *_Rockman World 6_* (because RW5 is already taken) _Mega Man 6 + 7_ >>> *_Rockman World 7_* _Mega Man 7 + 8_ >>> *_Rockman World 8_* _Mega Man 8 + & Bass_ >>> *_Rockman & Forte World_* _Mega Man & Bass + 9_ feels like a true *_Rockman World 9,_* if you think about it. _Mega Man 9 + 10_ would be *_Rockman World 10_* at this point.
My guess is that this was to emulate the sound of the Mega Man GB arrangements? I can't remember well if that was consistently part of the style of those tracks.
@@Tpcool Yeah, a good chunk of the GB tracks are a little slower than their NES counterparts. I tried a few faster speeds out when making it, but felt that the slower speed fit this style better. The GB titles are slower-paced in their gameplay too, so it works out nicely.
Each 8x8 chunk of pixels on the Game Boy can only use one color palette (each palette having 4 colors each), and so a bit of the orange from the 9 is bleeding into the D. If you look closely, the edge of the D also has a vertical strip where the blue coloration stops and is replaced by just white, which is also because of the palette rules. I could've broken these rules since this is just an edited image but I felt like keeping the authenticity.
they probably couldnt fit the 10 and stayed with it since its a reference to gameboy titles using that game robot masters and the next too@@robertogenaromancillarosal8337

Very nice, you got the sound down perfectly, and I think the slower tempo is even more accurate to Rockman World V, well done.
I remember hearing something really similar where it was the flash in the dark but gb styled, but it seems to have been deleted from youtube ):
I remember it too, it was what inspired me to make this cover. I dunno what happened to it.
@@Trianullwhat software did you use to make this?
@@Overseer190 Dn-FamiTracker, so it's not entirely Game Boy accurate, but I did use GBSImport to get the 'instrument' data from the GB titles.
rockman world 9: darkness under the light
Or Rockman World: Before Roboenza.

I love how its based on Mars theme from Rockman World V
I thought it sounded more like Uranus' theme, honestly.
Very nice cover! I like how the slower tempo gives it a bit more of a melancholy feel, befitting of the track's name.

Man, this is exactly how it would sounds to me if there would be a gameboy game based of MM10. Nice job!
This sounds perfect, ripped straight off the Gameboy! Well done!
And now I crave for a new Megaman sequel in vein of the Gameboy titles. XD
This is a really fun arrangement to listen to.

At 1,25x speed it sounds more like the original soundtrack

Awesome music. Good Job!
This is fire
Sounds more like title screen music to me or at least trailer music for the 3ds virtual consle release
Well this is 100% accurate in every way
Except tempo - much slower compared to the original track.
@@alexfischer7876 I think you missed the point of the assignment

my only criticism is it could've been a bit faster

Yeah, the GB games had varying tempos on some of the original NES tracks here and there, I think the slower tempo in this track fits well

Wtf why is 9 and not 10
Mostly for space, but also because the GB games liked to use the Robot Masters from the next numbered NES game, so decided to apply that logic here.
