Looking back, I think Angelo should have won this contest. Blaster gave 'em feels, and I rooted for him too, but you gotta give credit to Angelo man. That's way more difficult, you gotta respect the clarity of his solos, you can hear the notes.

Among the three, blaster has the dynamics, tasteful and semi-ballad tone. Simple but transparent and clear note-to-note phrasing rendetion. More on melodic emphasis rather than ups and down dead licks.

The judges are quite right in their decision to pick Blaster as the Guitar Hero.
Blaster had the simple style the song needed, and added just a *sprinkle* of his own style into it.
Angelo shredded the song to next year. Fender was *close* enough, but just needed a little push.

Again, apples and oranges. Skilled naman silang lahat actually, though I'm gonna leave this here. It's not always about the speed, it's not always about how much you know. It's about the feel, and it's how well you utilize what you know. Blaster is simply more polished. He's up and becoming. If you really listen closely, madaming missed/off notes yung dalawa, and mejo hilaw lalo na mga bends and vibratos. Whereas Blaster has fuller bends, and rounder vibratos. Better style, and tastier licks and riffs. This is coming from a guitarist din. And no, hindi ako nagmamagaling, I can easily admit that they are all better than me, but then again, can't deny my ears as well. I'm not discrediting the skills of the other two, but Blaster deserved to win more than them. Besides, tama yung mga judges, because if you really know music, then you will know that the real challenge lies well in simplicity. Real skill comes out the cleaner and the simpler it gets. Kaya nga jazz ang isa sa pinaka-mahirap tugtugin, regardless of instrument. Feel always beat speed. Shredding isn't everything.

Blueskiddo Cant agree more bro. The guy Blaster was an old soul with the touch of Hendrix, Clapton, Srv and all the blues legends. He had tasteful and soulful feel to it yet simpler phrasing compared to the contestant number three. Hats off though to 1 and 3 but damn this Blaster is gonna go places.

Criteria should be complexity of the technique. Angelo can play Blaster's solo but I don't think Blaster can play Angelo's guitar solo. Speed kills!

It's not about how fast and accuracy in executing notes but simply how you perform it with harmony.. I'm with blaster because he plays it with phasing, he always starts his notes simple, he also does it with repetitions. Just like the way BB King perform. Love it

Parang sa pagkanta lang yan ng mga highnotes, merong masarap sa pandinig at maggoosebumps ka talaga at merong parang sumosobra na at di na masarap sa pandinig. Yung pagtugtog ni Blaster masarap sa pandinig at nakakarelax talaga at nandon yung sarap na hinahanap ng judges. Hinahanap ng judges yung pagkontrol nila sa mga techniques dahil given na nga na mabibilis talaga yung fingers nila at si Blaster nga ang nakagawa non and the reason that the others are saying that "syempre style talaga ni blaster yun kaya sya nanano" is nit enough bc all of them are good enough to make different styles. Kaya nilang gawin yung pagiging simple and kontrolado so bakit hindi nila ginawa?
1st guitarist is okay, 2nd is the most balanced sounding (strumming with good buildup to lead) and 3rd has too many notes which is not so pleasant to ears (too saturated sounding).

Parang yung sinasabi nila kela Mozart at Beethoven na too many notes però sila ang greatest classical musicians. Però dito sa era nato ganun parin. Pag May alam sa theory too many notes, pero pag pentatonic Lang gamit aba virtuoso kana. Bwisit daming inggetero, pag nag abroad si no.3 nako malulupitan ang mga foreign na gitarista sa kanya ang linis ng mga chops niya tsaka ang tone grabe!

Even at first i knew that contestant number two was gonna win. Hats off to number three, he was astonishingly and technically good. But both of them with contestant number 1 lacked the feel and SOUL. I listen to John Mayer a lot as well as his music influences like Jimi Hendrix, SRV, Eric Clapton etc, and i can tell what fills and riffs sound tasteful and soulful. It was the contestant number two who had it all. The guy was an old soul. All in all, three of them were awesome.
#2 mature playing with jazzy taste; has patience; discipline and confidence.

No influence from contestants' followings, looks and others pero popular songs ang pinatugtog. Dapat sa Finals own composition ng riffs and arrangements para pure talent ang lalabas. Kasi kapag sikat na song na ang ipapatugtog, may influence na yan para sa mga judges.

The 3 players are good in each specific field. They’re attack to the songs is unique and you can never turn down one from the other. If u are really a true musician u will appreciate each of them. There’s no such thing as over saturated or simple for a true listener and music lover

wow! these kids are amazing. i see great techniques here... phrasing, hammer-ons, legato, whammy bar dives, tapping, harmonics, good improvisations and amazing tone! they dont need judges to say who's the best. they got their own personality. would suggest they form a band or something.
Competition to, specially, Grandfinals so I think it should be 100 percent flawless as much as possible.
sa Contestant number 3, nung 1st minute kumbinsido ako kay pero he went up over sa criteria, ung attitude ng playstyle na lihis, di napigilan.
ung sa una naman, nakulangan ako sa character ng arrangement nya ung tipong may maaalala ka sa ginawa nya, he must express his playstyle to become different sa mga kalaban nya and build his own name.
si blaster maintained ang playstyle, andun ung attitude na hanap sa criteria ng judges, only reservation ko lang eto 25:44 so I cant say na 100 percent polished. siguro nahaluan ng kaba.
PS. di ako kasing galing nila mag gitara, I just expressed my opinion from what I saw and heard :)

Di kasi marunong mag iwan ng spaces yung angelo sa music kumbaga sa drummer puro fills hehehe let the music flow di purket may spaces obligado ka punoin ng licks yun knowing when to play and when not to play is a must sa mga musician.. dun naman sa fender ok din sya but he should work on making the note sounds good some of his vibrato and thrills are a bit off tapus parang iisa lang yung attack nya lahat ng notes nya parepareho ng attack or ng sound..ok nga yun eric johnson like pero it kinda gets boring for a long time and yung tone nya di maganda muffled pakingan he should fix that.. si blaster naman darn he got the licks tone and dynamics right pero sana wag sya ma satisfied ng ganun lang kumbaga "safe" mag work on pa sya ng ibang scale to spice up his playing don't get me wrong pero kung style lang sobrang dami nya nang kapareho lalo na sa blues maybe dive into fusion or jazz playing para maging versatile pa sya as a player di kasi lahat ng pyesa minor pentatonic ang scale pano pag may chord changes mema nalang ba? Hehe all in all grabe tong mga to at your age dami nyo na nagawa! Keep it up!

Its about how you tell. the story, theres always a simple start, climax, and ending. Si no. 3 sobra sa climax, si 1 medyo bitin ng konti, si 2 well done talga
“That’s the peak of musicality rin eh, when you have all this knowledge and then you can kind of strip it down to what do you really need to say.” - reason why Blaster clearly won this battle (bukod pa sa lakas ng appeal nia sa performance nia dito. ❤️)
so many opinions and nag aaway sa comment section and i agree with those who support blaster.
first, judges already told what they seek and explained as a musician kahit gaano ka pa kagaling kaya nila itugtog WHAT IS NEEDED. #3 exposed alot of technicalities and when you listen wala ng space puro fills. you are not obliged to fill ng lahat ng spaces marumi na po. an example of this is yung band ni blaster ngayon na iv of spades. diba simple pakinggan pero ang angas ng timpla niya
second, technicality #3 won, and displayed tremendous skill but remember it is music hero not technical hero. hindi naman porket ikaw pinaka matalino sa klase ikaw na pinaka magaling diba? haha.

Blaster is the clear winner. While all of them were good, it was Blaster that had really played from the heart and give that much greater respect to music. He simplified it in ways that conveyed the message he wanted the audience to feel deeply. Kudos, Blaster. *speechless*
