some gods weren't affected like Hera, Poseidon, and Hestia, I wonder if it's because they were the older gods and too powerful to be affected by Demeter's spores. Athena and Apollo wanted to attack Hera when she first came back to Olympus but maybe she was too powerful to be taken down by them. 2nd season Hera is pacifist, but first season Hera probably would have made Artemis, Athena, and Apollo pay for their insolence.

She is the Goddess of Wisdom for a reason; she actually investigates and tries to find the truth of matters. How could Demeter forget about the fact that Athena can use owls as spies since they are her chosen animal?
