- Whats the POiNT in having a Winch, but never using it, I say?! Today, let's put the "Black Widow" in a spot where it needs the winch.. JUST so we can say the words "Snatch Block"! Just for those who don't know, a snatch block is a simple pulley system that doubles the power of any winch. The BLACK WIDOW is riding on 2.2 Mud Slinger Tires from "RC4WD" and the truck itself started as an AXIAL WRAITH, way back in 2012! Check out the original video here: • RC ADVENTURES - VANQUi... Watching your videos inspired me to buy a traxxas trx4 kit for my birthday I haven’t gotten it yet but I’ve never driven a crawler or built a kit so I’m going to have a lot of fun. It’s gonna be a big change from all my brushless and nitro cars but I feel like I’ll have a great time. Ps I love your videos they are so creative and your camera skills are amazing.
You're going to have a great time building it! Learning all of the intricacies of the machine will help you troubleshoot IF anything goes wrong... and watching it all come together while building is soooo satisfying!! Good luck and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
You need a drill powered paint mixer and use that to mix up a sloppy bounty hole to drive in so it’s actual thick challenging mud to do some scale mudding

The widow is an awesome machine so capable, so much power, so unique she really looks like an early days rock bouncer or competition crawler, but with that said I really think tango is the better looking rig more purpose built just a bit more technical to use I might venture to say what with the 4 wheel steer and all the bells and whistles.

Great video as always, that is an awesome crawler....... Right, “Loading Kings”, everyone’s favourite, in these trying times which are set to continue for at the very least a few months yet.... how about “Remote FPV Loading Kings”... would it be possible??? All the guys it their homes, remotely operating the trucks and forklifts through an FPV system, with your good self in the shed of dreams adjudicating and filming the proceedings. You could affix photos of the guy driving the truck/forklift on top of the cab, the main shot can be as normal with you filming and commentating, and thumbnails showing what the guys see from their cabs..... I’m probably rambling about complete B##locks and it’s not even remotely possible, but it seems such a great idea I can’t not mention it... and if anyone can pull it off, I bet you can... no pressure.

Thanks Medic I love it when you bring the classics out for a run. All the new RC's just don't cut it compared the the handmade classics with metal and love. Yes, please do a mudding video with the wrath after you fix the axle, (please do a video of you fixing it). I think you'll find many of us have oldy but goodies on our shelves that need a little TLC to be back in running shape. Not having the time to do the work is no longer a valid excuse, I would say. (As I am looking at 3 vehicles that could use some TLC and 2 bodies that need painting, lol.) I guess I am just lazy.

You were talking about taking the time to regrease everything that needs greased reminds me of one thing. I had my TRX4 Bronco for over a year now and a couple of days ago was the first time I pulled the axles completely apart. I expected to find dirt, water, grime and such. I found nothing of the sort. In fact it doesn't look like I've ever had it in the trails I run my trucks in. I still cleaned the old grease up and regreased everything with green marine grease. The grease out of the axles, even the portals had very little to no dirt at all on the rag. I don't use my TRX4 much in mud and water anymore with these newer tires because I don't want to wreck the foams. The foams are that memory foam stuff, very soft and plush on the rocks, but tend to roll over on the wheels when side slopping or trying to turn sharp while desending a hill. I am currently running Proline Flat Irons with the stock foam. I love the look of the tires and like the way the foams do in most situations. I recently purchased some JConcepts (can't recall the name of the tires off the top of my head) and was thinking about getting some two stage foams for them. Honestly though, I'm not sure I want to pay that much for the foam though even if it is as good as the reviews. We shall see what I do. If the foam in the JConcepts tires is anything like the foam in the stock Canyons, then yeah, I'll pick up the two stage. TBH though. I don't run many aftermarket tires on my RCs other than on my Summit and my Bronco. My nitro Revo is running Proline MX38's but I shredded a stock tire minutes after I had finally got it broken in. I ripped up and down my street to get it broken in so it didn't really hurt the tires, but as soon as I got it to my hillclimb spot, first climb and it ripped open the entire sidewall on the driver's rear. I knew Traxxas stock tires were crap, but holy shight. Lol. The Revo definitely likes the taller MX38's though and I'm not sure why. You'd think it would stress the drivetrain more, but it runs faster and cooler and even shifts better. Maybe it's just the momentum of the weight of the tires or the grip, but it's something for sure. I do run my nitro more rich than most do so the nitro might be getting to the operating temp it should be running at. Who knows. I think this is the first video I've seen with the black widow since I've started watching your channel. It's nice. The steering as you were talking about always seems to be super tight on the Axial RCs. My Bronco sure doesn't turn that tight fully locked. It's not a bad servo either. PowerHD DW25LV. The two TRX sports my niece's have definitely seem to turn better too. They are running stock servos yet. I figure the only thing it could be is the grip from the Prolines I am currently running or I'm getting binding in some way. The axles on your Axial Wrath are nice as well. Was thinking about getting some aluminum ones for my TRX, but that's at the very bottom of my TRX mod list. Highest priority now is finding a third set of tires (probably gonna be the proline Hyrax) and a 550 can Hobbywing Axe system. I've got a question while I'm on brushless systems, what sensored ESC would you recommend for a 1/8 Summit and a sensored Castle Creations motor? I bought the Castle Creations 6s Mamba Monster 2 and a 2200 KV (I think it's 2200) combo. The motor is sensored but the ESC is not.

When you are mudding the trucks do you keep the air holes in the rims open because mine seem to get full of water most of the time and I have to squeeze it out. Also what’s your maintenance schedule for the axles? I had just taken mine apart to clean and fill them with grease as water intrusion is my concern. *SCX 10 ii 1955 Ford

I have always enjoyed watching videos of the black widow ever since the unveiling. I also enjoyed the video have you mudding with Moe that was cool. He's coming into the age now where he's getting his own personality. Lol.. I went through it with my 11 year old little boy and now again my 6 year old boy. And I will tell u, there's nothing like it. Keep the videos coming!
We just did a crawl with our Wraith! We did a small hill climb competition! It did't fair well with the stock tires though.
Medic, do you have any experience with the Pitbull XOR'S? Got a set on my wraith and ive been impressed! They arnt the most scale looking tire but grip for days! Thanks again!!

Took my 1/10th scale ripsaw out today ( in my yard, social distancing ) just to be outside. I live alone, I have not touched another person or been within 6 feet of antone in over a month. Hug your family, remember lots of people can't touch anyone.
The Black Widow looks so different without the G-made rims & those huge flexible tires. With such a heavy rig, how often did you have to keep refilling the air filled rims? Like once each time you ran her, or a bunch of times each time each you ran the Widow?

Idea for the next video if you have any 2wd rippers, drifting around on your drive in the first part of the video. i have been inside/ laid off since 3/16 i'll tell you what.. i wish i had an RC of any kind. love the videos. keep up the great content!

Where I live in South Central Missouri it was 85° f 2 days ago and today the high was about 60° f. So, while it's no where near as cold as up there it's pretty chilly for us here
