You can clearly see the difference between hers and choreographer's style, he's so much more precise and powerful, which is a given because dudes usually execute moves much stronger than girls, but somehow, Lisa managed to tone down the choreography to fit her own style and swag and I just...Really love that. She does that every time she dances alongside a professional dancer. She's not trying to outdance them, not trying to over/underdance either, she just picks up choreography in a nanosecond and immediately blends it with her own dancing style. That's seriously such a trait, I can't even imagine how many hours she put in honing her craft. I think that in the predebut days, she used to go full out every time and now she learned how to tone it down, but make it extremely powerful as well.
I like the way you explained what happened - very similar to singing. You don't and can't copy another singer to stand out (otherwise they'll say you're just a copycat or a mimic), but you make a song your own, "feel it" and give it your best to let others notice your magnificence. But then, I want to add, LISA ALWAYS dances on point and with precision, as well. It may not be as hard-edged as Tamzin Choi's but she "feels" the song because of her musicality

Yup every professional and advanced dancer always dances a choreography in their own unique style (examples outside of kpop are people like bailey sok, maddie zieggler, etc)
she's really a good dancer it's just when she's with blackpink she cant show off her true skills because she want to balance the group..

@@dinamaldo7807 Honey J, Tamzin Choi, Cheshir Ha, and Leejung lee praised Lisa's dancing skills like no other. There were Kpop judges in a survival show (i forgot who they were but i saw a video before) picking Lisa as the best (female) dancer in Kpop. Even internationaal youtuber professional dancers and non professional dancers alike can give you the technical and precise words to describe Lisa's incredible and excellent dancing skills. Her specialty is making a choreography look EASY. And according to Jeff Avenue (who is a professional dancer/choreographer btw), making a dance look easy is THE HARDEST level a dancer could ever achieve. Many excellent dancers around the world can perfectly dance a choreography using their own style of dancing, but Lisa dances a choreography perfectly while hitting the exact tone and vibe of the genre of the music, meaning she doesn't rely too much on her style of dancing (which is fluid and swag hiphop), ++ she rarely does hairflips as that is what most female dancers in kpop incorporate a lot cause hairflips is a technique that can make your dancing a lot better, but Lisa relies on her own body and rhythm.
