(I’m going to explain it seriously but) the correct terminology,aka the more accurate, is colorism. The rats reject any outside rat based on the different colors, characteristics.
Humans just like the rats are all the same species. Just having different phenotypes. The different ‘races’ of people are just different genetic variants, kinda like how you can have a lavender gecko or ebony velvet gecko. humans are literally less than 0.01%-ish. our dna, the dna that controls things like pigment, minor differences in facial structure, small differences in bone density, differences in overall heft, ect, a lot of traits can vary in that tiny range of genetic diversity.
Pigmentation being the most common traits to cause discrimination umong humans. Pigmentation often being the most important distinction between different creeds. (Even an albino baby born into some African community’s are in danger due to the natural fear of the suddenly pale baby. This discrimination causing some serious myths. Just like with other races. Different is scary which causes myths or rejection between the two groups.)
Truly a complex topic. Please look into how other people of different cultures interact with the ideas in critical race theory and the study of human genetics between races. (Like did you know that people of different races can metabolize medicine differently, this is causing us to reanalyze old medicines on larger study groups to make sure the ethicality of the medicine.)
@@morgantseasrant1948I saw a similar research done on dogs and they found out dogs had "preferences" too. Dogs of a certain breed or colouring tend to favour their own kind/colour but act aggressively towards dogs that they perceive as different or "inferior", e.g. larger breed dogs tend to bully smaller breed dogs
The majority of these did not replicate in case anyone is wondering. Social phycology in general you can pretty much disregard. It's more likely that phrenology will make a big come back then implicit bias tests will test much of anything.
