Wow, this is sweet. Didn't realize how robust the mission planner was, have been flying manually this whole time. This opens up all sorts of possibilities. Can't wait to start testing it out.
Hi, i used evo 2 for highway survey, i usually using fixed coordinate from my surveyor team, and i already setting up the waypoint mission with kml setup, and the fixed coordinate have multiple point, i thought the function was same like litchi on waypoint mission, flying following the fixed coordinate, but in autotel the drone stop when arrived on each points fly again, so that was irritating me so much, how to make the setup still on route without stoping on each point??
The waypoints shown in the video all have "hard" corners. There doesn't seem to ben an option for curves. What happens when the drone reaches a 90 degree change in the path? Does it low down and make a sharp turn? Or is there a way to maintain a constant speed and have a smooth turn?
That was Great information, it really helps me be more safe a confident, please keep making more of these informative reviews. Thank you Brother and God bless you and Autel.
Hello, after defining the task, when the battery is changed in the work, it will continue to work from where it left off will be resolved in the update.
Can I pre-program and save waypoint mission on my Windows-powered laptop? And I see that maximum flight speed in waypoints mode is too low - 22 mph. Should be at least twice more for long range missions.
When I set the first waypoint to “start recording” it will do so. However, when the aircraft reaches the second waypoint, which I also have set to start recording it turns off the camera. In this way every other waypoint is recorded. What am I doing wrong?
@@josefer3d I'm new to this and have projects in hilly terrain here in Southern California. I need to get good, accurate data too. If you don't mind me asking, what's the trick if the Autel drone won't follow the terrain? I'd appreciate any advice you have. Thx.
Is it true that Autel's waypoint mission planner sets a limit on the furthest distance separating the home point from any of the flight plan's waypoints? If so, how far as the crow flies can an Autel waypoint be placed, measured as a radius length from the home point?
Great video... my first test, I set one of the waypoints to "hover" and then set the "video time" to 45 seconds... however, it only records for about 1 second. Any ideas why>?
How to set from A to B to make continuous photos each 2 seconds ? I want to make a mission that start from point A, goes to point B with 7 km/h, and in this time traveling from A to B I need the drone to take pictures each 2 secs.
I am liking the enhanced mission planning capabilities, yet I have encountered an issue that really needs to be fixed. When setting up a waypoint mission, the timing of the image capture at a waypoint needs to be adjustable. As of now the EVO 2 Pro 6K reaches a waypoint then briefly pauses before yawing to the next heading. It is during the yaw phase that the image is captured, resulting in edge blurring and a twisting effect for a 90° gimbal setting. Does anyone know if a particular setting will address this, or is it something Autel will need to fix in an update?
Why can’t we enter geocoordinates? Adding a waypoint with geocoordinates would be easier to create multiple waypoints without needing to re-fly an area if you choose to look at something specific.. I don’t think any drone apps considers geocoordinates.
Anyone have the ability to toggle on HDR video recording on waypoint missions? It's not showing up on mine. I'm finding I really like the color and gamma on 4k 30fps no color mode with HDR activated. At this point it seems my only option is Log recording.. and I suck at grading it. 😂✌️💚
The mission planner is terrible - what they don't tell you is (1) that the drone will stop at every waypoint and pause before moving on, (2) there is no option to have the drone fly a smooth curved path, and (3), when you tell it to start the video at a certain waypoint, it will stop the video recording at the next waypoint. It's very buggy. If you're used to Litchi, the Autel's Waypoint Mission Planner is at least 3 steps behind in functionality and ease of use. Note that I love the drone itself (Evo II Pro) -- I'm only complaining about the software here. They have a lot of catching up to do. Opening up programming to third parties would be a tremendous help.
Autel, Isn't Alejandro allowed to answer any of the comment questions? This is very odd to me. You want to provide good customer service, right? If not, someone else will and Autel will get left behind. Please step up you customer service. my emails back and forth seem to have answers to questions I'm not asking and NO answers to the questions I am asking. Wierd.
Yes it's very nice to see how well the waypoints work with the Autel EVO series 2. I own an EVO series 1 which did have decent waypoints, however they were changed, and not for the best, when the Autel EVO 2 arrived. I spoke with an Autel rep when told me that they would be fixing this issue soon however I again called Autel and they told me that this particular rep was no longer with the company. So, that being said, I am still trying to understand the logic behind this move by Autel. Is it a tactic to have EVO 1 owners to have to upgrade to the newest drone after spending their money on the older model??? No company would try and pull that one would they??? I had owned 6 DJI drones before buying my EVO and I am sure DJI would NEVER piss off it's customers that way. So i guess I'll have to sell this drone and go back to DJI because I'll never buy another Autel product and then get treated this way!
Dude, I've owned 2 DJI drones (even back to the Phantom 2 Plus), and with each one I've had horrible customer support experiences (including them bricking my drone, then telling me my only next option would be to purchase a new one), so "DJI would NEVER" is an absolutely incorrect statement. Hence me moving to another manufacturer.

@AutelRobotics any solution for this yet? EVOII
Very cool. I just started into drones. I have one but I think after watching this I will get the EVO 2 pro 6K. Love the waypoint missions. Great job.

Will Mission Planning be available on the Nano and Lite series drones?
Hi. Is there a mode to tap on the screen and let the EVO II takeoff and fly to that waypoint and Hover over it ?
Thanks!
Any way to copy missions from one device to another?
Can you use this on the nano+ to do photogrammetry?
How can I make it keep the camera on from the first waypoint to the last waypoint?
For the heading options what is the difference between manual and custom?
How far can you send it out autonomously???

Great tutorial, and very helpful. Thanks for sharing.
Hello, will you make the Autel Explorer available for the Autel Evo Lite model?
Why is the blue x icon used to save settings??

Hello, I would like to know if you have terrain follow since I live in a region with too many mountains thanks
Any answer to your question?

Hey Autel....why Record Mission is not working??????? Evo 2 Pro V1....
What Autel drones have mission planning?

Does this work for the original EVO as well? Or is this mode restricted to the EVO II models?
I'd love to know as well

Could you please provide me with a link video how to use stmp for live streaming on Facebook or TH-cam?
Does the Mission Planner allow for variations in altitude?
You can go to each point and set an altitude.
Can i upload kml file like lichi?
Will we see HDR photos like DJI does in their drones?
My Autel has HDR.
