As much love as Kramer and Smith get for crafting the sound of MC-5, Rob Tyner has got to be one of the least-appreciated frontmen in Rock history!

The DTK/MC5 show at the Black Cat in DC made it pretty clear that singing in front of this band required a strong vocalist.

    Fred's "Sonic Suit" is stellar.
I had the pleasure and privilege to have a few hours of face time with brother Wayne in a Swiss hotel after a show played together in 1995. Wayne was very friendly and patient. Little did I know back then that a few years later, I would end up in a band with Scott Morgan - for a decade.

I was at this show. Hours before I was confronted at gunpoint by British troops for climbing the tower steps in Aylesvury . The UK was tense about IRA violence and I was young and naive. They were firm but polite with me; clearly surprised I was American. They didn’t search or detain me when I explained I was in town for the MC5.
