When I got old enough to drive, I wanted to go camping and I didn't want to buy a tent, so I used that one. I still have my brother's tent, the same one, just in case this one gives up on me. They even came with little carrying cases. Absolutely amazing!
The NorthFace tent seems the best of the bunch...but $2,000? LOL, not in my life! There was a Nemo tent featured but it's small. I own a Nemo 4 person tent and it's fantastic. You can stand up in it due to it's very upright walls. Also, the price was reasonable, around $400. Nemo is an excellent company and makes very well made products...
Roof tents are a solution in search of a problem - significantly more expensive and complex and overdesigned compared to a simple tent that is more convenient and convenient.
I got a tensile for 500 usd. It is durable but heavy and takes a long time to set up and dismantle. Good for upto 3 persons but really it is good for sleeping only as it moves little like a hammock when you move on it makng it impossible tò eat or drink without spilling on it.
Word of advice, never eat inside of your tent. It opens the door to all kinds of problems. Honestly, you should only eat 50ft or more away from your tent. You dont want to be a bag of people tacos a bear finds at night.
Realistically who will use a hammock tent, they offer diddly squat protection yet the dude said winter ready, who wants to be blowing in a blizzard with no protection waiting to die..... Buy normal tents.
You have to know how to set up the tarp over the hammock and bring the right quilts for the temperature. Watch "Backpacking with a Hammock" channel or Shug Emery channel, they both have a bunch of videos of using a hammock in the winter.
Ozark Trail has a camping cube like the EZ-Up Cube in the video. I used the Ozark Trail cube for a couple of years and had good luck with it and it even held up fairly well is a couple of storms. I did purchase the EZ-Up Cube last year and it is made much better than the Ozark Trail version but it significantly more expensive. I use the EZ-Up Cube with my Ozark Trail straight leg canopy. For the price the Ozark Trail cube is a great tent for summer camping.
Cheap, lightweight, durable. As a general rule you can only pick two, and any two choices exclude the last option. That being said, if any of the tents they show did not include high tech fabrics like very light Dyneema fiber and are made in china, then you are correct and the pricing is absurd.

2000 mm rain protection is nothing. 3000 is an absolute minimum and 5000 should be standard for a tent.
