- Karl Beattie and Stuart Torevell investigate a spectacular baptists church in Paisley, Scotland. The church is now abandoned, but some of its passed visitors seem to have stayed.

It is absolutely beautiful, my great grandmother had her funeral service here many years ago.

And bless Stuart, I'm claustrophobic too but only since an adult. Have no idea why but it's a terribly helpless feeling. That church is gorgeous! Just stunning. Karl could have spent an hour walking around and talking about it and would have been fine with me. LOL

I am in a similar situation to you with Systemic Lupus and have spent the last 2 + years being so careful in country Victoria, Australia. TH-cam videos of all types have kept me sane, including Most Haunted which I have loved for years. I am also claustrophobic but have been since I was a kid and also don’t know why. Anyway, I hope that you have kept healthy and send you best wishes.

Excellent as always, I started watching your show back in 2004 when I lived in Arizona U.S. And have seen every episode more than once. It's sad that such a beautiful church is left just standing, empty. Surely, another church could take it over and bring life back to it. The spirits that dwell there probably would love that.
We don’t really have much in the way of church factions here in Scotland, and most young people aren’t interested in the dogma or intolerance of the church any more. There were plans to turn this into a theatre space.

I live minutes from The Coats. Magnificent building. Beautiful and haunting looking at night. I love the Royal Doulton toilet bowls and sinks. There was a Doulton factory in nearby Renfrew

50.15 onwards when Stu mentions the year, theres a slight light anomaly on the right side of the screen moving left to right. The movement is very deliberate, does not look like torchlight, insect or dust particles. Great work as always guys, love watching these 👍
Years and years of good mateship a pleasure to watch. Love the real Stuart ,honesty is very charming. I,d like a sceptic on board to experience your investigations. Love the buildings but turn them into shelters, if empty.
Hello. California chiming in. Love the way you guys investigate. At 39:04, after Karl remarks about water being everywhere. A slightly muffled and droning voice can be heard saying, "I Don't Know."
I worked in the uni across the street from this church and looked at it every day. I always wanted to go inside. What an amazing building 🤩

Hi boys, it sounds like something is being rolled as well as footsteps but it might actually be something moving those stacked up plastic chairs, making them creak. The loud bang sounded like someone jumped hard at one end of those planks and sent it flying up and slamming down. Ooh, that creepy hiss that came down the hall at Karl. From 33:39, as Stu came down the stairs, there is a very clear sound of a male voice humming or singing tunelessly. About 48:17, there is the sound of a woman's voice, Thanks, that was great! At 26:00 a light anomaly appears before Stuart's left shoulder and disappears over his left shoulder. A few seconds later there is an action and a reaction from both parties on camera.
No, no, no, no! Bad idea with 2 splitted screens!
You lose the fear factor and the feeling to be there.
32:30 mark something moved behind Stuart's left shoulder. Thought it was his light but it moved behind him when he didnt even move the camera.

Who's the female voice in the back ground at 33:40? Is it meant to be there? Stuart doesn't seem to hear it, but not sure if it's someone that is expected to there or not. Can't understand why it's not mentioned by Stuart, but there's definitely a woman taking in the background.
@Pippistrelle72 - To me, it sounds like a male voice talking quite loudly in the distance; Karl, possibly?! In any case: There definitely *is* someone talking in the background!

Everytime Stu goes near the door, I can hear at least one male voice from a nearby-room .. Previously at; 42:16 It was mixed with a female voice also.
I heard that too . wonder why Stuart didn't hear.
yes i heard a male and female voice every time he went to the door and along that corridor, also when he went on his torrent of questions, there were voices, i was yelling at the computer for him to shut up and listen lol
I heard this too. At 41.20ish just after he says there is a draft down here. There is a definite Male and female voice.

I just finished watching this and at least 25 different times while Stuart was in the basement I could hear male and female voices. I actually downloaded the whole video and put it into my audacity program and amplified each time I heard something. If someone from the Most Haunted Team sees this and those sounds are not coming from another team member then please check these time stamps below and let us know if these noises are paranormal or someone from the team please.

I'm from Paisley and know this church well. It's right on the High Street, opposite the university and next to several shops and bars, so it's busy outside well into the night. It's single glazed and, as shown in the video, the doors no longer fit as well as they once did, so you can hear people talking as they walk by even in the hall round the back. I have seen many people appear very worried, scared and even terrified as they left the church hall - the university used it for exams!
I've never really liked Stewart but hearing his heart felt diatribe and saying "I'm ok I've got my inhaler in my pocket" melted my heart
great ep guys. i am terrified of lifts (annoying since im in a wheelchair), very claustrophobic and terified of the dark. even though im a 25 year old dude im not embarrased to say i need a nightlight. due to sensory issue from autism i need movement (i keep my tv on with it on mute during the day and my nightlight is the projector type) and i need sound, the silence is defening for me and i feel a huge pressure in my head.

That scene around 44-46 minutes in, with Carl sitting in the church and talking to the soul who was responding to his taps... for some bizarre reason, I sensed a lady. She was there, sat between him and the camera, and sitting very upright and proper, as if she was wearing clothes with a corset. Her hands were together in her lap. She wasn't looking at Carl, she was looking straight ahead. Maybe my imagination, but I thought I would pass that on in case anyone else experienced this :)
OMG! I wrote the above as I continued watching... and now, at around 50 minutes the spirit confirmed she was a female.

Do you think it's possible that when the spirits move objects in their plane they can see that sometimes the sound from it can crossover into ours. Similar to when they speak. And others have the ability to move objects in our current plane that sometimes the sound crosses into theirs and that's why sometimes you can't hear them move a chair or whatnot?
Saw an orb pass behind Stu in the corridor with the door that moved.
At -16:59 / 59:19 Stu is by the double doors rattling them, are there women speaking nearby? Is it close to the outside and public?
Forgot to take the time it happened down but after Stuart heard the door rattle, I could clearly hear a woman’s voice talking. It reminded me of when they investigate at a smaller location and somebody is filming but you can hear some of the other team members calling out in the background. It was a distinct woman’s voice but you couldn’t quite hear what they were saying if that makes sense?
Yep and if we can hear it they should be able to hear it but strange how he never mentioned it! Makes me think they have brought another person with them for some reason 🤔.

DATE: 25th April 2021...Covid-19 era. it might just be me but being locked in for such a long time due to the pandemic, you do get your down days, I've seen this episode a few times. Each time I watch it, gets funnier & funnier. Stuart is such a refreshing hilarious person, he's really cheered me up. Karl's funny for a different reason, his eyes will give everything away. I know when he's having funny thoughts. I do mean funny haha, not funny I want to put a dress on. Every question they asked I actually heard all the replies & they were belly laughing, side split-tingly hilarious. who'd have thought two priests could be so funny

At 49:05, as you were walking towards the double doors, I heard a growl/scream come from behind you before you turned around expecting Carl to be walking behind you.
