- Just when I thought Tanjiro destroyed Rui, my guy literally chopped his own head off so he wouldn't die!!! Absolute cheating if you ask me, but Giyuu came in clutch and heavily disrespected Rui with the never before seen "Eleventh Form".

The captions are slightly incorrect which I'm sure you're aware of by now LOL the eleventh water breathing form Giyuu uses in this ep is actually called "Dead Calm" and is an entirely unique form he created himself which is why we've only seen the original 10 forms until now. Almost any attack that comes close enough to hit him is deflected or destroyed. Giyuu is even cooler in the manga ngl.
There are 9 Hashira currently including Giyuu and Shinobu, but I won't tell you the others' names ofc bc you're actually v close to meeting them!

The captions were not incorrect necessarily, it seems the subber of these captions exactly taken Giyuu's Eleventh Water Breathing form "Lull" as how it is stated in the manga english translation of Kimetsu no Yaiba. Lull is synonymous to Calm, and probably for anime version they have changed it to Dead Calm to make it more "Giyuu" as its more appropriate to his personality. Shinobu's butterfly dance "Frolic" was also derived from the manga.
Rui was a genius doing what he did with his head and webs. Although just a kid that was top tier genius. One of the best twists I've seen in a show.

there are 10 forms of water breathing that already exist but giyuu created his exclusive form ,the 11th form (Dead calm). Only he can use this form.
My boy is out here creating moves, Giyuu has to be the strongest Hashira!!! But then again, like demons they just keep getting stronger and stronger so maybe there are stronger Hashiras 🤷🏾♂️
