Every time I hear this song it reaches deep inside me and grips my soul for a moment; terrifying and elating me in that moment with its magic. Stephen Kellogg is the sorcerer musician. I'm in awe.
Another solid gold piece from Stephen Kellogg. His songs are always honest, full of meaning, and tell a story -- a true artist! Cannot wait for solo album and tour!
After seeing SK and the Sixers several times over the years, sometimes with my wife, son, and daughter ( OK, always with my daughter), she and I were quite sad at our last show in November the two of us saw. Jessica saw us and told us it was not a time to be sad, it's all good she said. Well, after hearing this, and watching the video, as much as I'll always want to see the whole band, Jess is right. What a song and what insight. I'm sure I'll see you later, and soon. Awesome Stephen, Thanks
Is it just me or is this one of the finest musical compositions ever? In my life I have heard few songs that evoke this level of passionate sentiment; maybe none. Sublime; incomparable. Thank you SK.
Heard this song on WNKU radio yesterday morning. Posted it on Facebook today. Hope that's ok. I rarely post anything on FB but felt this guy's music is exceptional and assumed that others had not heard of him either. Watched his "Alone for the Holidays" video. Seems like a really good guy. Hope his new album does well and that his music affects others the way it did me. "...what if the world could stand still..." I want to start every day from now on with that thought in mind.
Thank You for this. And thank you for three amazing shows on your Objects In The Mirror tour. For those of you not aware, Stephen is still touring. He is still amazing. He is still an incredible songwriter. And his new album Objects In The MIrror is one of the best albums by any artist or musician I've heard in 20 years. You need to see and hear his new material. You will not be disappointed.
This year for Thanksgiving I'm keeping my list short. I’m thankful for this amazing singer/songwriter, my family & friends, and most of all, my Granddaughter Winnie. Happy Thanksgiving! And Happy Birthday Stephen Kellogg! What a beautiful 10 minutes of pure emotion.
This song makes me wish TH-cam would change their like policy so instead of choosing to like a video, you had an monthly allotment of likes you could portion out as you wished. That way I could give all of mine to this song. Stephen Kellogg is amazing, and this song is just one of the many examples of that. Spread the word, share his genius.
I love SK's music. Seen in him concert 5 times. This song specifically though I think could make for an awesome music video about Batman and Talia al Ghul breaking up.
I played this song posted by a fan about 100 times since hearing it live. Lyrics blew me away. Finally get song, new album and tour!!! This is one of the finest music videos I have ever seen--excellent job creating and editing. See you later at Jammin' Java :) Would love to know who MADE the video--wish there were credits
Beautiful in every way! 🙂

A moving son by such a gifted artist and family man.
Thanks youtube for bringing this back to my home site. I forgot about this song and it's a gem.
Stephen Kellogg is one of my favorites. I really love the heartfelt honesty in these lyrics.

this one reminds me of Josh Ritter. and that's a compliment
"no cutting or drilling" ?
"...no cutting or drilling..."
99 days.
I hope this isn't a song written about his life :/ Great song but sad lyrics at times.
jeffhack, think he means no cutting down trees or drilling for natural gas--fracking, re environmental concerns.
