Nice bit of detail on the local area 🙂 I have looked at Khutai last couple of winters as i ski a lot, and was considering a season in Austria round the Innsbruk area, maybe and St Anton. Cool to learn the resort there is actually properly old and historic!! Beautiful as always, the Alps 🙂 No wonder the Rimac team wanted that backdrop. I took some photos of my Mini this winter in the Alps and it just makes it pop with the blue skies like you don't get anywhere other than in the high mountains also contrasted against the snow and dramatic landscapes 🙂
Thanks for watching! I'm always happy to show off the beauty of the Austrian alps. Very glad to hear from viewers experiencing the same feelings in the mountains 😊
i had a check engine light when i was on track it had been misfiring between 4.5-5k rpm all day. we think it was due to having the wrong spark plugs in so we’ve swapped to ngk iridium’s and everything seems to be ok. i’d highly recommend an ultragauge a lot of mini owners have them and they’re not too expensive it gave me the code when my engine light came on
Wonderful video, and gosh, what a clean R56! I own one of these little disasters myself, and I have a tip. You should get yourself a Bluetooth OBDII scanner and just keep it in the car. Doesn't have to be fancy, but 9 times out of 10, it'll give you a code that, with a Google search, will tell you pretty much exactly what's happening. You only have to use it once for it to pay for itself, with how much dealerships charge to scan codes. I've had limp mode like this a lot, especially ones that went away with a restart like you showed. For me, it ended up being a VANOS solenoid, but there's no sure way of knowing without scanning the code.
Thank you so much! I've had a couple of people suggest a direct OBD now.. I've had a scanner in the past but it gave me trouble with the software. But now that my Mini is getting older I will consider getting proper OBD!
@@KiaraShifts I have a really cheap one myself, something something ELM327! Does the job just fine, with free apps available for your phone. Obviously not gonna be as great as a very expensive OBD scanner, but good enough!
Very nice video. Your aerial shots are really great. I,too, have a 2012 Cooper S, and got a check engine light along with a reduced power notice and a significant loss of power. Turns out,it blew an ignition coil. After replacing all 4 coils and plugs, it’s running very well.
Thanks for sharing! For me it is strange that it only happens on low fuel and disappears when filled up. Another viewer suggested it might be the fuel pump, so I will check that out soon.
Do you always speak german? Finde die landschaft so schön und war nochnie in Österreich...bin dabei mir selbs einen r56 anzuschaffen und muss mal durch diese landschaft fahren 😍
This is so well filmed and edited Kiara and the scenery simply beautiful 😎
I just love the blue accents, especially the blue beltline..Really striking.

Thanks, I will consider getting one that plugs right into the OBD port and maybe looks nice on the dash of my Mini :)
