Thank you. I've been trying to figure out what the terms were for these two types of inflation.
Demand-Pull Inflation is pretty easy for me to understand. Higher consumer demand leads to higher prices.
And, Cost-Push Inflation is the term I was looking for to define things like government restricting the oil/gas industry and thus leading to higher gas prices (and subsequent higher cost of living).
But, what about our government having the Federal Reserve Bank print more money?
The extreme of this is hyperinflation. But, what is it called when more printing of the currency is causing prices to rise, but not to such an extreme extent? It's just a more gradual erosion of consumer purchasing power.
Would "monetary inflation" be the correct term for this?

Given the high inflation, the use of coupons is more widespread than ever and many people rely on them not only for the purchase of food but also for clothing and much more. The transition to the 8112 digital coupon format is imminent.
Qples by Fobi is the only platform able to provide physical / digital coupons anywhere in the world redeemable in real time! This is very valuable for the big CPG brands as they allow them to improve their Roi but above all customer loyalty, which has proven to change brands if the situation is advantageous.
McDonalds, burger King and many other brands could use Qples by fobi coupons to increase customer loyalty, Roi and improve their margins. Given the high inflation that has led to the reduction in consumer purchasing power, CPGs are looking for new ways to attract customers. I think the arrival of digital coupons and the transition to 8112 has been accelerated by all of this. The decline in margins and profits that we are witnessing of many tech companies, once considered leaders, confirm the shift of the consumer in search of better opportunities and bargains offered by coupons!

It's unfortunate that the hyperinflation in Zimbabwe was explained simply as an increase in the amount of currency created.
*Inflation in Zim started with a decrease in production* when the government took away land leased to European farmers and gave the land to citizens of Zim. The problem was the citizens were much less capable of sustaining the same level of output at the European farmers. As a result exports in the country dropped significantly and there was less money entering the country via export sales. Combine that with angry Europeans who demanded the Zim repay money borrowed from Europe. With exports down the nation had less money to meet its obligations, *THIS* is where money printing began, but inflation had already begun when the nation's economic output had dropped by some 25% and the amount of money had stayed the same. There was already more money chasing fewer goods BEFORE money creation began in earnest.
Printing was the result of a self-inflicted loss of productivity combined with high levels of foreign debt. There isn't a SINGLE example in the last 100 years of hyperinflation that has STARTED with an increase in money printing. The catalyst is always a loss of production or a less in export income, usually over a compressed time frame.

+Bruno Burghgraeve Demand pull inflation could be caused by anything that increases aggregate demand. If the government decides that it wants to stimulate the economy, it might consider increasing government spending. If it continues to spend, price levels will continue to face upward pressure; in which case they will increase. This is an example of demand-pull inflation.
Cost push inflation is generally said to be caused by things that increase production costs for firms. If oil prices suddenly increase, all firms face higher production costs than before, and short-run aggregate supply would decrease.
Keep in mind, for any type of inflation, you must have a sustained increase in the general price level. If oil prices suddenly increase and then decrease again, this is not inflation, rather it is a one-time increase in the price level.
Hope I was able to help.
