Weaving with pandanus

Video by Clare Prochowski and the Fiji Field School (Macquarie University) in cooperation with the University of the South Pacific and Fiji Museum. This video shows participants at the 2016 Weaving Workshop held at the Oceania Centre for Arts, Culture and Pacific Studies of USP learning to weave with voivoi or pandanus strips. The workshop was sponsored also by the Fiji Arts Council, and the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs and Department of Heritage and Arts of the Fijian Government. The video was part of a temporary exhibition on weaving at the Fiji Museum curated by Dr. Jara Hulkenberg.
