- Navrongo happens to be one of the key towns in Upper East Region with a university and Training College. It plays a crucial role in the sub region as its close to the PAGA Border which connects landlocked, Burkina Faso. This footage was done on Sunday 17th January, 2021. Please subscribe for more.
I can't believe how much Navrongo has grown since I was there in 1992. Back then, there was no electricity & very little water due to the many years of drought. Water was only available via bore holes drilled by the US Army far from town. Notre Dame Seminary was the closest thing to a school back then & that was only for boys who accepted a catholic education. It's great to see that there's an university as well as a technical school now. I hope girls are given an equal opportunity as well. Thank you for the update. Navrongo will always hold a very special place in my heart.
