Qs please, how does 2024 fishpro trophy compares to 2022 model? I found 2022 is much cheaper, but seems like same features? What are the differences please?
Good morning to honest I haven't seen any difference in them. Most of the time they will go cheaper because they were the first ones that come out and whatever bugs had to be fixed would be fixed on the newer model. To me, there the same.
I don't have a seadoo yet but am planning to get one, just a question, can the cooler be mounted facing the other way? Or is the mount set to face cooler outwards?.
I'm being honest fill yours up with water then try un screwing the plug and see how you feel about it. I filled mine up with water with my wife on back and I couldn't get the ski to plan out in ECO mode . It will in touring and sport mode but the ski handels weird. Feel like I'm pulling a trailer lol. I feel its to much water but if your fishing the bay then thats ok but offshore thats a different world I wouldn't want all that water trashing around on the back. Try and see what fits you for me I'm not carrying all that water when its time to go its time go lol
Sorry just saw your question. The way the cooler works originally from the factory. The seadoo has a switch so you can control the amount of time the pump runs inorder to fill up the cooler with water. The problem is when the cooler fills up and drains the cooler is almost to the top. The switch can be set to full or a timed fill
Sorry but you can not , it's all one pieces but if you're able to take off the top adjustable part that allows the water to drain then you still have only a 3/8 hole we're the water drains out . In fact I'm installing a full 3/4 drain in my cooler to allow the water to drain faster
When I started this project it was to help drain it faster. I used a 3/8 hole and the cork you can go and buy and little cork either rubber or that soft wood cork. You can buy those at any hardware store. I'm going to share a video in witch he shows how to install a better drain. I used the same drain as him and works perfectly. th-cam.com/video/t_BWC2aQsOg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=C3tWtJw-jZRoGcRL
Where can we get those materials? I can’t find a drain plug that fits the cooler’s thread. What I did was a 3/4 clear flexible hose with fittings from both ends to bridge that hole so I wont damage the thread. The issue is,its not water tight.
If I'm reading correct, you placed a hose that connects both drains at the back like jumper. I tried looking for a drain plug as well but I found nothing. The rubber corks I bought them on Amazon. What I did find out when you insert the tubes on the side you can use both rubber washers only one because it will leak. I only placed 1 rubber ring gasket on the inside and not on the outside . I hope this was helpful.
@@TexMexOutdoors yes sir. Like jumper. I did put the gasket and modified a stopper. Since its not fixed in the cooler, its leaking. Its not concerning though but the right material will be better.
@@yulliguid9458 when i got my ski I filled it up the cooler to check for leaks and discovered it was leaking around the plates where the linQ was bolted together. I just rerighten the bolts on the bottom on the cooler
@@TexMexOutdoors like we use in the old days to drain a tank or even those plastic swimming pools. Just fill a pipe/hose with water, one edge inside the tank the other outside and voila!!!
@@TexMexOutdoors in places like Rural King, Gun Shows, Home Depot, and Lowes (last two lower chances to find) you can even find a hose with a squishy manual pump, made to drain Gas tanks from cars, you just squish until the water starts too flow; or the hose with one Shakeable edge that actually is an one way valve, just shake until the water starts to flow. But these are not necessary, a piece of hose works the same way.
If you look at one off my videos I added a drain. Theres a lot of good ideas on TH-cam concerning this matter. The drain helps me drain the water with out ever reaching the back of the cooler. Hopefully this was fixed in a 2024 model lol
If it were me, I'd put a small 12v pump in the cooler and wire a switch up front near the handle bars. Just flip the switch....water gone and you never have to leave your seat.
In the beginning I thought it would help by installing a small plug it didn't drain fast enough. Instead I used a good idea from a fellow TH-camr witch was a good idea. th-cam.com/video/RQ2Eya2aVyg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=80nj9XLhnH5vR_C7
I agree ...when you fill the cooler up with water the ski will not get up on plan in eco mode. Its to heavy you have to ride in touring or sport mode. I just keep the cooler half full of water and the ski works fine in eco mode.
@@frenzy_adventures lmao....🤣🤣🤣 I don't think they thought it trew. I had in eco mode and I couldn't get on plane. To heavy I add 2 more holes to control the water level.
DUDE!!! This is epic! Thankyou. I’ve been reaching over, it’s a pain haha. So just drill one hole through the out pipe an wedge a rubber seal in? That’s it?
Thanks for the positive feedback. I'VE HAD SOME STUPID REMARKS BUT THEY DONT SEE THE BIG PICTURE. THIS AIN'T NO DAMM BOAT. I ADDED 2 MORE HOLES AT CERATAIN LEVELS TO HELP KEEP THE WATER AT A LOWER LEVEL.. You can add that hole at the bottom up to 3/8" maybe even bigger just cut the plug down to size. When you pull it ...it starts to drain quickly. It don't make no sense to try and reach behind that cooler to drain it. They should have installed a inner drain. It's been working ok for me with no issues.
All I did was go to the hardware store and bought 5 small rubber plugs even the small cork ones work as well. They even sell a 20 count of small rubber plugs on Amazon.
@@TexMexOutdoors yes I have. I've been in 3-4 ft swells offshore with the livewell running. It's not an issue. Just make sure that the cooler is on the two forward linq connectors, closest to the seat, rather than the rearmost ones.
@@WillInWestPalm maybe you right about placing the cooler closer to the seat but if you're fishing 3-4 then you gotta be living somewhere else other then Houston lol. 2+ waves here and the bottom drops out. Then you got the next wave ready to engulf you.
Get back to the boat ramp undo that plug in the back when you get off your ski and you pull it out of the water just go ahead and loosen it up during that water out
It's like I tell everyone, on the river and lake the ski handels totaly different then compared on the ocean even if the ocean is 1 foot. When you pushing over wavws the back end feels like it has a weight and the ski slams hard. I put 4 holes in that draining tube so I can control the water level going off shote
Thats a lot of water to carry around . When I put my ski in eco mode with all that water it felt like the ski wouldn't get up on plane and go. I keep it in sport mode to get it going . When you're offshore and its time to go home you don't wanna carry all that water back .
My thinking is they figured you would pull the Doo out of the water on the trailer and then drain the well.
It's bad thinking that's just my opinion. When its time to go , it's time to go. Who wants to carry all that water in the cooler. To much weight!!
Pull the plug after you're out the water... its that simple...
Try addind a hose with it's own shut off valve. connect it to the sea doo drain and wrap other end around cooler where you can reach it.
Great idea, thank you!!

You can face the cooler either forward or backwards
@TexMexOutdoors so if you turn it towards you then maybe you can reach it?
Soooo.....I just wait till I pull my ski out of the water, walk to the rear of the ski and release the water. Am I over simplifying things?

It’ll take a little bit longer to drain then if you unscrewed it but this is exactly what I was going to do. Great job man.

Do you have to have the cooler filled up with water in order for the air to work or can you put in as little as you want?

Seeing this today. Sep/15/22. Why you didn’t simply use the old good gravity, a piece of hose, or a U shape pipe and drain it?
