Wouldnt it be so awesome if elementary and high school art classes would take an approach like nature journaling to bring more depth to the study of art. And make it a class that does not become "fluff" that is easy to cut funding of. I love how you made the snakes a study of patterns and color and not just a picture of a snake. I'd love to learn more about how you use your swatches when you do color studies.
I've been to Mindo! Loved the butterfly sanctuary. I didn't have my journal with on that trip (hands full with a baby), but I took so many wonderful photos and I still like to draw from them!
