    This is how all TH-cam tutorials should look. Short, informative and loaded with tips. Thank you.

    Thank you SO much for this video. My clippers were overheating to the point of not being able to hold them for long. Was about to buy a new set and found your video. Stripped right down, oiled and greased and now they're running like a charm. Really appreciate your time.

    At 3:25 it looked like a torx bit screw it's a wonder the Phillips was able to remove it. Torx are better than Phillips and flat blades. I am not positive but it looked like a torx to me. Thanks for video.

      No Oster a5s have torx bits. It was a Philip screw that was stripped and now looks like a torxs bit. You are welcome and thanks for watching

    I wonder why Oster removed the ball bearing oil port on the side of the turbo A5 that they had on the classic 76? Didn’t they think it was useful? They actually must have changed the mold for the plastic shell to remove it.

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
      @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They probably removed it because you really can't oil it that we'll with it. Also, when you get them service the bushing should be oiled and have enough for it to last up to a year at minimum. There's cotton around the bushing that holds oil. So the oil wick and the ball that were removed were really unnecessary in my opinion . Thank you for watching

    What size screws did you replace the old ones with? Mine are stripped out, but the hinge still seems in good condition, so I'd like to switch those out first and see if that's the problem. Keep me from walking around Lowe's holding screws up together. 😂

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
      @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You want to make sure the threads in the housing inserts aren't stripped as well. We only use Oster replacement screws. Not sure the size.

    How do I get a bad switch out. I have it disconnected but can't figure out how to get the switch plate out

    Just did some of the things (the easier things not too deep in the machine) and now it won't turn on at all. I don't see anything wrong with the brushes. But the bottom switch kind of wobbles now. I didn't need to replace anything. Just removed hair and screwed things back in. Only interior part I moved was the orange thing, took it off, oiled under it, put it back. Now I have a machine that doesn't work, when in reality I needed to check the blades and that was not covered on this one. If you're a novice don't try this at home.

      did you put the brushes in correctly? they have a notch on them to be sure they go in correctly

    Can i use lucas white lithium grease or do i have to use oster grease ?

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
      @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello. I would recommend using Oster grease only because it can stand up to the heat and it has no added materials that will damage the gears. For example some Grease has fiberglass in it

      @@cloudsdiamondsharpening3973 I've read in the internet that petroleum grease will eat plastic parts and thats what oster grease made of ( lithium soap petroleum grease ) what do you think of this ?

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
      @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MrFSTQ I don't know. I don't know what Grease. But I always recommend Oster grease because it is manufactured for those clippers. Now if you find a grease that has the same ingredients of course it will work the same. Plus different Grease has a different melting temperature. I'm not saying you're grease won't work. I just always use the Oster. It isn't very much and it's made for the clipper

    So I can't get my new blade to snap back on. I slide it on that tongue... turn on the machine, and push the blade down.... but it won't stay down... it pops back up. What is wrong?

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
      @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lorri Diane Wright hello. I cant tell you for sure the problem without looking at it but it sounds like your hinge is weak and the latch is broken.

      The turbo clippers are faster and perfect for Animal Grooming. One of the main differences is the gear.

    I did everything as told. (Didn´t take the motor away). So basically just greasing and checking carbon. And...after that the machine didn´t work at all. Any ideas what went wrong?

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973
      @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you put the brushes in right? they have to go in correctly to make a clean connection.

    • @sannakoskela2
      @sannakoskela2 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You were probably right. The tried to take off the brush...and the carbon part didn't come out.. There it is, just the piece of carbon, plastic part broke. Any idea how I get it out? I thought it's impossible to put the carbon brush in in a wrpng way..? How could I manage to do it, any idea?

    • @cloudsdiamondsharpening3973

      Take it completely apart to remove the brushes safety.
