Yamaha 8Hp 2 stroke

Just prepared the boat, and a short cruise on Gundenåen near Langå (Denmark) to test my Yamaha 8HP outboard engine from 1994.
My first and new engine "Sail 9.9 hp 4stroke" was unfortunately stolen from the boat. As recently bought this old yamaha motor, which works incredibly reliable, starts at first pull every time .. is recommendable.

I have this same motor too, mine is 2006. When I go fishing it idles for hours without problems, incredible for 2-stroker. If new ones were available ii Finland, I'd sure buy one.

I just got a 15tf 1971 falcon bass boat and a 7.5 everude outboard . After seeing this video im confident i can ride in confidence A to B

Great motors with one of the best weight to power ratio motors. So if your looking for a motor you need to take off the boat and carry and still have decent power on a smaller boat then this is it....

Thanks. Reasonably good power for such a small motor pushing a slightly heavy boat. I'll sure be on the lookout for one of those yamahas.

Yes , I am pretty happy with my "old" motor. The boat is 14 feet, and weigth is about 130 KG for boat and motor, one the video I am alone i the boat, the speed becomes somewhat slowly with 2 persons Unfortunately, but it is only 8 horses.

Wow great speed...Have nearly the same boat and a 8 hp yamaha, but haven't tried out the combination cause i am waiting for some Yamaha spare parts. Have you checked the speed with your smartphone of gps? Let me know, Fred, Holland.

Hey mogens ive read in your discription of your video That you have earlier a 9.9 hp sail, and i have a question. Witch outboard Goes faster the 8 hp or the 9.9 hp?

sorry for the late reply. the two engines is about the same speed. But Sail is 100cc larger and therefore more traction when there are more people in the boat. In terms of quality. Yahama is much better in my experience, very Reliable ..

Beklager, det er længe siden. Motor var nyanskaffet og måtte afprøves. Der var ikke et øje på tidspunktet som blev generet. Men ved udmærket dette var over de tilladte 5 knob.

fishin n flyin 50:1 keep it nice and lubed up it will last way longer , 80:1 if your trolling all day and don’t open it up
