  • The Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) spans 2,650 miles from Mexico to Canada covering over dozens of national forests from California, Oregon, and Washington. Due to increased popularity over the last several years, trail segments have degrade dover the years and the backlog of deferred maintenance has led to detours, reroutes, and closures in some areas. Thanks to funding provided by the Great American Outdoors Act (GAOA) Legacy Restoration Fund, this project will cover the entire PCT over the next four years, utilizing $4.2 million for California sections and $2.6 million for Oregon and Washington sections, respectively. The types of work involved in this project include trailhead maintenance, hazard removal, drainage improvement, and signage replacement.

Awesome video! I'm a SCA alumnus and continue to dabble in trail work with the Washington Trails Association (WTA). Love to hear about the impact of the GAOA, such an important piece of legislation. Keep videos like these coming!

Don't worry about the grizzly bears, they're safe, they identify as Bambi.😂
    We are certainly doomed. 😢

Nice to see what the volunteers do and what they think about this experience. But I had to laugh at how silly and infantile including pronouns is as part of the post. Is the federal government going to require the use of "preferred" pronouns in order for citizens to function, as some sort of shibboleth?

😂 this idea of identifying pronouns after the names is complete lunacy! Whoever came up with that idea must identify as a jackass. Just saying.

That seems like an awfully small aspect of the video to be upset about. Mayhaps look deep into yourself and find what you truly believe to be the root of this senseless anger. With time and growth you may come to find that what is considered respect will morph and evolve as society progresses. A question of pronouns leaves nothing to be displeased towards and only seeks to produce acceptance to those who appreciate a community that sees them for who they know they are. We are all one species who only survive through the goodwill and harmony of those around us. I appreciate you and hope we can respect each other as we continue through our own journeys. May luck grace you on your travels.

@@tomatofrog2635 thing is, people are going to see you how they want to see you, whether you're talking about gender, race, attractiveness, or whatever. The fact that people don't always/often see you for who you are, without getting to know you better, is just life. Not something to make a big fuss about.
