I honestly love playing bael it's soooo much fun trying to get in and stay in and its moves are aesthetically pleasing to watch especially dat AC. I get the feeling that people might not like playing with it as your partner but that wont stop me from playing it (and rex when it comes out)

@Setsuna Gundammeister Either that or play suit with good defensive options to keep it out. The melee priority on Bael isn't that high, but it's got some nasty approach options.

Thanks for the vid, always curious about what a Bael player is thinking in every situation since I have been running into him since day one of open beta. Hope this can help out my skills in terms of standing toe to toe against him. (P.S. I know it is off topic, but I really want to know how do you counter Master gundam’s left or right melee? The one that he pulls out the belt and whip you. Unlike others whip attack where it is used for disengage or a quick down (X1 and Gouf for example). Master uses it as an engaging tool, connect with a few melee hit into a darkness finger. I got up, got caught with side melee again and repeat, and I am out. It is kinda frustrating to fight against this sometimes.
Master melee spam only effective in his red lock which is not that far You have a chance to kite him down before he get to do anything in this game... Not to mention E burst that can shutdown master burst or big play

@@AnimeRetroPodcast Depends on what mode he is in. Normal mode has shorter sword range(less attack priority) but retains standard 3k cost standard stats and boost. Epyon System(Red glow) has a longer sword, faster mobility and attack speed but his boost consumption is increased meaning frequent overheat when trying to rush and step spam.
Honestly, I play EXVS series only doing pve(I love Gundam). For some reason, whenever I play a fighting game, my mind goes blank and just button smashing without any thought unlike in your video where you formulate tactic/strategy and execute it with the correct input. No problem with any other genre of games. At least all the console port of EXVS/MB has great single player mode.
@@dondaketype8811 yes and no. In a one on one situation yes barbatos is very strong. But in a 2 vs 2 its very hard to inflict massive damage due to you always getting interrupted. By teammates both hostile and friendly. Unlike bael who can only be interupted by meele due to his actions move him around too much.

Barbatos is not really supposed to melee thanks to it's average priority but it has good punish damage if you do win a melee interaction. The real strength of that suit is the special movement you get with AC and the smoothbore gun, since it essentially allows the suit to be a sniper thanks to the high tracking and AC A allowing you to weave and snipe. Couple that with the ability to cancel the AC dash into assist and itself and you can really fly across the map without the need for much boost while covering your movement via the assist. Top it off with the pyon and Barbatos is one of the most mobile 2ks out there.

Imagine the gun cannon not having stupidly good shell tracking but gain better meele instead. My main point is barbatos takes alot of time doing lengthy combos compared to the 1-2 heavy hit That it's mace is supposed to do.

New player usually go for a melee and Bael eat those player alive for a breakfast/tea break.
There is way too much stuff going on on the screen. It bothers me a lot.

With thunderbolt it's super easy. Just full blast missiles when he's right in front of you. If not spam sub missiles
