    Great video, thanks for the explanation.
    Just a note as a Spaniard who records flamenco guitars. Removing the sound of nails makes it look fake.
    A greeting.

    Is it possible to remove fret buzz on a guitar or bass guitar recording using this plugin?

    Hello , and I'm having issues with static pops that happen when moving my hands about . We've checked all we can but can't afford to do home electricity rebuild . Does this plugin remove static pops also . Thx

    Yeah.. The guitar amp track with noise still sounds better to me. At least by itself. Stacking a ton of noise could be detrimental to a mix though!
    I think a reason some people like tape machines isn't just about the natural compression, but the hiss actually makes stuff sound warmer/sweeter (depending on ones personal jargon) sometimes.
    Recently, I shielded the bottom of a guitar head because of 4G cell tower interference, and now I think the one that is unshielded sounds better all of a sudden (I have 2x of the same amp.. Biased the same and transplanted tubes between them). I didn't notice before. Now I'm thinking about removing the shield and doing a blind test.
    Also.. I did notice that towards the end of the amp clips that the some of the notes sounded more compressed or something in the de-noised version... Maybe the plug-in was working harder on those bits.

      Interesting comment. I think I agree with you. I find the humming during playing, especially with distortion/overdrive, adds to the character of the song. But I do like how it gets rid of the noise at the beginning?

      I have a problem. I get tons of string squeak. I don't use an amp to record. Maybe it's due to recording guitar directly into Logic. It's very annoying. Or maybe, it's my playing, or maybe my pickups are too low.

      @@leascaart it could be several things..
      Your guitar could be too bright. Try rolling the tone down to see if it helps.
      Techinique/ you drag your fingers/hand on the strings when changing position.
      Amp/software settings too bright.
      What strings do you use? They could be bad too.
      Tring squeaking is also typically more common on acoustic guitar.. Acoustic or electric?

    • @XChristianNoirX
      @XChristianNoirX 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@leascaart also, what VST or software are you using to process the guitar sound?
      You could always make a 1080p or higher res video of you playing and post it, clearly showing what your hands are doing and showing what you're doing in the software.. That might get you the best feedback as to what is going on.

      @@leascaart also, what interface are you using to plug your guitar into?
      Are you using Active or passive pickups?

    de-buzz, de-hiss yes, de-squeak no. Squeak adds life and rhythmic flavor.

      As long as it's musical. Often times there's too much squeaking in acoustic guitar track and you have to sacrifice tone or compression to make it bearable.

      "Squeak adds life and rhythmic flavor" You must be joking. Guitar squeaks are literal ear rape

      I do think he pushed it to far. Killed some tone but if tastefully done it helps most acoustic recordings imo. The squeak sounds distracting if it's to loud. There are other ways to tame it though. Mic positioning, multiband compression, some eq, stuff like that should be used in conjunction with this to make it sound more natural because even though rx is incredible dsp it can easily be taken to far and he definitely took it to far in this video but to be fair I think he's just showing off how good the feature is by itself.

    I noticed with the acoustic guitar when you took the squeaks out it also took out a lot of the top end of the actual chords, making them sound duller and less crisp. Is there any way to manually select just the squeaks and leave the rest of the sound intact?

    • @francismcfadden3305
      @francismcfadden3305 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No matter what you do you're gonna lose alittle tone using this feature alone. It should be used tastefully in conjuction with other mixing methods to reduce the squeaks. Completely getting rid of it would make it sound fake anyway so you don't wanna push it to far.

    Sounded more real without the removal, made it digital. But somebody might want that over realism.

    The acoustic guitar sounds better without the plug-in in my opinion. I think you’d be way better off by just automating the volume down on the squeaks. Now the squeaks sound fake & stretched out.
