    I like your accent and like to see your FUYU Persimmon sticks have little leaves coming. You are lovely to share this knowledge.

    I can remember when I was young my daddy went to the old country store and bought tomato plants that had been pulled up and wrapped in a wet paper bag they made some awful good tomatoes Sorry I haven’t responded back to you about my greenhouse with the raise up sides but I been having major foot problems they are doing major surgery Wednesday morning keep me in your prayers Thank you Eddie

      I don't think I remember seeing that before Mr. Randy. Yes, I'll sure be praying for you. Keep me updated on that surgery. God Bless my friend.

      Updates were shown in random videos following that video, That was so long ago but I will tell you some of the Figs made it and were giving away as gifts but I never could keep the Persimmons going.

    I don't know that I have ever heard of a Persimmon. I am going to see if anyone around here in any of the garden groups I am in has one. Thanks for sharing, sounds interesting . . .

      These FUYU persimmons are good snacks but the persimmons that grow in the wild her in La., well they are great for the deer to eat. The deer love wild persimmons.

      Good to know. I think I might just have to try one if I can find one. I love sweet potatoes and since my wife can't stand them I guess that means more for me. 😃

    U can breakup willow in bucket and fill with water and use this for helping root . Just water with this water
    Honey is good for rooting compound. Just stick city in it and plant. Cinnamon is good for soil nats

      Thank you Boggy hollow. I've heard of the Cinnamon but never the willow. I'll remember that. Thanks again and God Bless!

    Most fruit trees, except figs, can only be propagated by seed or grafting. Cuttings are virtually impossible outside the labratory.

      I give up and bought a Persimmon tree. The fig trees worked. Not 100% but got some out of it.

    I heard that persimmon growing now is popular in East Texas as East Texas has good drainage soil and weather, including chill hours needed. You would see these Fuyu on sale in Asian grocery stores across the land here starting around late October and now. Thank you for sharing. I will try to propagate some soon.

    • @papawsplace
      @papawsplace  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can't keep them going once they start so I bought me a tree. LOL

      @hunam3876 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@papawsplace That's right. It's easier to grow a seedling, plant it out and then graft it with mature cutting.

    Aloe Vera "jelly" from inside the leaf, is a good natural rooting aid.

      Good Deal, I planted carrots, lettuce, radishes and rutabagas (seed) today and just watched the weatherman and he is saying we are going to be back in the 20's around the 10th thru the 13th. It was 80 degrees today. So, I'll probably get to replant them.
