  • Underwater photography opens up a world of possibilities, from the coral reefs off the coast of Bali to the manta rays and mola mola of Nusa Penida. However, underwater photography requires a cautious and safe approach.
Here are some tips for beginners in underwater photography:
    Essential equipment:
Digital camera: Choose a camera suitable for scuba diving.
Waterproof housing: Protect your camera from the elements.
Flash or underwater light mounted on an articulated arm: Enhance lighting to capture wildlife and vivid colors.
Plate for mounting the housing in the center: Facilitates camera handling.
Wet lens: Expand the capabilities of your camera.
    Safety first:
Be aware of your abilities when swimming or diving.
Learn about the animals you are photographing and recognize signs of fear or stress.
    Respect marine life:
Preserve the beauty of fish and reefs.
If you sense that the animal has been stressed

Hi, I have been using a Sony A6000 in a Meike/Seafrogs case. I have had it for maybe 7-8 years. Its OK but bulky for travel. I use with one Inon fash . Should I upgrade to one of these? I shoot manual but two of my friends use the Olympus TG-5 and get netter macro results. SKILL MATTERS. 😅 I am planning on a trip to the Philippines in April 2024, and looking at changing to a gopros just because of the size for flights and packing, and they are point and shoot really. I am not a great photographer underwater and would have to say my dives have become completely focused on trying to get a nice photo rather than ENJOYING the dive. 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Very sad about this. My dive is in Malapascua so its all bout shooting the amazing thresher sharks there AND having FUN. BTW LOVE YOUR CHANNEL.
