Survivors guilt is a very real thing. Don’t assume that you are not affected just because your home is still standing. Take care of your mental health as well as your physical health. We care about you MaCenna, and pray for your safety and health.
Very real… most of us have not been through this tragedy of Southern Cal. But we all have something to overcome. Family counseling is a must to bring you back to reality after all this is over. It can affect your joy. We are all so happy and relieved to watch this TH-cam. I don’t do Instagram or Tictoc. So this was a very welcome message. Tell your Mother we all say hello.
MaCenna , I'm 72 ,a life long Californian & I've never experienced this strength of winds in my life. Anxiety through the roof..I totally feel ya! I'm in a foothills area and in the past was evacuated in 2003. Other times I had evacuation warnings. But my PTSD is almost like your nightmare. The morning we fled from our dream house (*2003 not this fire!), which we had only been in a few months, I woke up and opened my shutters in the bathroom and saw a completely red sky! It came on so fast, similar to this fire. Wind driven. I'm still prepared here because more winds are expected. This total destruction is shocking and heartbreaking. I'm grateful to be safe and trying to be cautious. It's a lot for anyone to process, and we understand that you need to take care of your family. Videos of projects are hard to dive into. I've felt that uncertainty today, too. Just keep yourself as calm and healthy as you can, and when you feel like life is not upside down , we'll all be waiting for you! I'm pretty sure everyone who follows you, young & old, loves you and your wonderful positive energy . Our house survived but seeing those flames so near by was terrifying. Thank you for the prayers for all. The wind is blowig pretty hard right now and I have some things packed incase we have any reason to go quickly.
Two of my best friends live right in Palisades and lost everything and she has a 1 year old and another baby due any day now. My heart has been breaking for them and everyone. I am so grateful the church I work at is supporting 4 churches in the area to provide for the families in their areas who need housing. It has been a beautiful thing to see the Church provide and care for these people.

As an Australian that deals with fires every year, especially the black summer in 2020, you are doing everything right for yourself and your family. You're prepared to evacuate, you're being safe and you're staying out of the way for emergency crews. Keep safe and keep the hope❤❤❤
Something else I thought of: Do you have a pump and sprinklers system for the pool? You know, for fire protection. That's one relevant project you could film. Another is pruning back all your plant growth. Another is packing all your outdoor furniture away into the garage. Do fire safety things to reduce fire establishing on your during ember attacks. As well as making area safer for fire fighters, i.e., reducing trip hazards...

I know the winds are picking up again and this is a living nightmare for you and all of the Southern California community. So agree with you that she need not stress over videos as she has so much on her shoulders with this tragedy over her head just trying to keep everyone safe in her family. I can't believe she was thinking so much of us really and keeping up her usual style of videos in the process. Such a lovely person. We all have to keep praying that lovely home stays safe for them as they would be devastated.

How utterly heartbreaking for those that have lost everything. I wouldn’t be surprised that many will suffer with PTSD from the nightmare of the fire. MaCenna , this trauma of the fires changes all perspective,doesn’t it. Much love and prayers for all.

I'm in Washington State and I've been glued to tv and online, watching this all unfold. It's so devastating to see. I've also been thinking and you, Romeo, baby and puppy, and Drew as well, I think The entire country and people around the world are watching and praying for everyone in the greater Los Angeles area. I live on the west side of the state, but when the east side has fires, it all comes this way and sometimes we can't see the sky for several days and the air quality is something else. It's something that just feels so eerie.

The fires started in LA and I started my prayers for all giving in California. I was so worried for you but also thinking of Mama because she will not rest thinking of y'all safely, so many emotions put together. I do thank God that your content was out and y'all are well. Glad you all are safe. A good reminder to always be prepared incase you have a disaster. Fire insurance and maybe having some special high powered hoses to use with your pool water to spray your roof and yard to control flying embers.

I have two people that lost homes. I don’t think people can even comprehend having to replace every single thing you own, from the big the small. It’s overwhelming.

The fires started in LA and I started my prayers for all giving in California. I was so worried for you but also thinking of Mama because she will not rest thinking of y'all safely, so many emotions put together. I do thank God that your content was out and y'all are well. Glad you all are safe. A good reminder to always be prepared incase you have a disaster. Fire insurance and maybe having some special high powered hoses to use with your pool water to spray your roof and yard to control flying embers.
