they could at LEAST finally change her gender in the character bio thing to be female. there’s no point in keeping it a secret any more, what’s the point in having a trans character if you’re gonna keep their trans identity hidden??
I think they might not bc it could get Pjsekai banned in other countries who have anti-LQBTQ+ laws (such as Russia) hence why they pulled the ‘Mizuki is Mizuki’ crap
the event shop characters will enter permanent gacha in half a year after the event :). i love it and as an extra bonus point which ive thought about this fiasco ,which makes it even worse. since they didnt show mizuki coming out: now the only person, who actually canonically knows how bad mizuki has had it, is ena and rui. because its only ena who realized on the roof with with rui,how god fucking much suffering mizuki has had to go trough(this is why they show the flashback about bullies asking if ena is a boy too). like ena literally understood on that roof that mizuki is a trans girl and how bad the treatment from society has been, and thats why she was able to speak the correct words and mizuki was able to trust her and come back. crucial part of the story. this is why they dont show mizuki coming out to ena. so now since we didnt see mizuki coming out,we have NO IDEA, how much rest of n25 knows about any of that. who knows if they still think mizuki is fine with everything else. so now we get colorpale able to rag mizuki again all over the place with this, and they can be vague about it, and who knows if she even came out to them instead of telling rest of n25 that she is depressed af???? btw in this same event,we literally get mizuki saying "i dont have enough courage to disappear, but i dont want to live any more either" what is the age rating again? its like, how am i supposed to not be mad? and we cant see mizuki coming out??? not even a vague one???
well it makes sense we don't see it, in the game we just watch and observe kind of like the Vocaloids but no personal connection, Mizuki comes out to the people they trust and WE as the players are not one of them, we just watch, so WE do NOT DESERVE to know their secret, because its something so important to Mizuki that only her friends are the only one that deserves to know, not us
i totally get why people are upset about there not being a proper coming out scene, and honestly at first i was also mad about it. but we have to remember that Mizuki's story is not only about her being clearly transfem, but also her fear of change and her cowardliness. her whole life she just ran away from her problems and that's what her character is mainly about. what's important is that unfortunately being trans is way more taboo in Japan than in US, i get why sega decided not to just straight up say "Mizuki is trans!!!". even so, i think when reading the stories it's pretty easy to connect the dots and figure out that she's transfem. i still have pretty mixed feelings about the ending of her arc but I feel her character writing is great and can't wait to see what sega will do with her in the future!!
i read in alot of places that because of how japan is towards gay people in general they probably didnt add a scene because of that but i feel like they can get away with more stuff if they absolutely cant outright say it
I actually like that they didn't reveal it, that wasn't the message It wanted to convey. It's not all about what's Mizuki's gender, it's that Mizuki's gender doesn't matter and that Mizuki is Mizuki and nothing more.
Mizukis gender has defined Mizukis entire character. Saying it doesn’t matter is insane. Mizuki isn’t “just Mizuki,” she’s the only transgender rep in project sekai. Gender is so important to the human experience, how you are born and how you present dictates so much about how people treat you. The entire point of Mizukis storyline is that it matters, if it didn’t matter Mizuki wouldn’t be transgender nor would she be scared to come out to the rest of Nightcord.
@@parnthesisI think they’re trying to say, it won’t matter if N25 found out she was trans or not because they’ll still work together no matter what, yes it does matter to the storyline but it doesn’t matter to N25 because they appreciate her no matter who she identifies as. Moreover, there’s more to her character than just her gender identity, like how she encouraged Mafuyu stand up to her mom.
Ok i get where ur coming from but mizuki's character is supposed to be trans representation, the entire point of colopal adding a trans character to the game is for representation. If they never say it explicitly, then it takes away the entire point of having representation. Also, now that they'll probably never say it explicitly, there's still gonna be arguments abt mizuki's gender and the fandom is still gonna be heated with speculation abt mizuki even tho it's already basically confirmed that she is trans. People are gonna keep boiling it down to her gender and never actually give a shit about her character in general, only the fact that she's a "femboy"
about the copyright system, sega will only copyright claim the video IF the event is still going on, if it's not then you are free to post, this is because of spoilers (and it's a live service game)
And a lot of people say ‘let’s not boil Mizuki down to their gender’ THATS NOT THE POINT. The point is that she’s LITERALLY trans and the game is tiptoeing around it and because of this the some of the fandom is being transphobic
I’m interested in seeing ppls takes abt the storytelling in pjsk cs i’ve never seen any critiques until now, and every1 during the time mafuyu’s story arc was happening was saying the writing is good but I’m curious abt what every1 has to say abt the storytelling as of now
TYSM FOR THIS VIDEOO its actually gotten so hard to be in the fandom bc a lot of ppl want so bad for mizuki to be explicitly trans that theyve become completely uncritical of clpl and call anyone who wants a clearer confirmation illiterate.. i hope the coming out in the card story is only a sneak peek to show the full scene in a mizuki event 😭 but even then it means theyre still making space for transphobic players.. clpl was the one to first question mizukis girlhood in a very in your face way, its not unfair to expect them to reaffirm her girlhood in a way thats just as in your face.. they welcomed toxic fans and i think its their responsibility to oust them or else mizukis storyline will keep coming off as disingenuous.. like in text youre condemning the transphobic ppl who invalidate her but in real life youre ok with singling out mizuki and having your trans fans be invalidated in the community by fans YOU enabled to run amok
I would get it if it was 4 star (since the gacha sticker and you could select it if enough points) But a 3 star? Which isn't guaranteed? And taking down vidoes like... What? Like not everyone is lucky enough to get it (I have jp but I barely follow the story. I just use it to play mesmerizer lol. Also sorry if my English is kinda bad I have to remember 3 languages)
3* cards are actually a bit more accessible in their own way (at least in my opinion)! Since you can buy them with event tokens without having to do a single pull! But I do get why you’re upset fully. And there’s probably a reason why they are taking videos down, I’ve heard from people it’s because of spoilers and stuff, and after the event it’s probably fine?
@Monopar Yeah I haven't realized to thanks for telling me since I didn't notice that ( I still think it's kinda unfair for those who don't have jp server)
