Forging the Valhalla Doors | Crank & Bell Lock

- Blacksmith artist Max Randolph designs and forges a locking mechanism for the smaller "man door" set within the massive Valhalla Doors. Cut and forged steel make up the complex compound gear mechanism that sends a hardened steel deadbolt into the main door, linking them together. These giant doors serve as an entry for Daniels Woodland headquarters in Paso Robles, California. This videos is the second video of many videos to come showcasing the creation of the Valhalla Doors.
Daniels Woodland designs, fabricates, and installs innovative experiences for clients all over the world. Their products include themed cabins and tree houses, shooting galleries, interactive props, themed sets & environments, animatronic characters, playgrounds, and chainsaw carvings.

If you like complex gear works you could look at high horology watches. They’re complex but on a much smaller scale
I love how intricate your designs are, it's an absolute joy watching you work. Don't be afraid to make these parts longer and show more of your work, longer content form really suits you and i feel like it truly makes you and your art shine. Even if this was an hour long we would all happily watch every second :)

I do have a single piece of feedback that I think would really liven up your videos. You have an absolutely amazing voice. I recall you mentioning at one point that you didn't care for it, but let me tell you… it is Morgan Freeman level in my eyes(or ears?). The microphone that you use with your youtube videos misses a lot of your voice's grace and tenor. I think it would really help you to improve the microphone that you use when speaking. Your TikTok videos really show off your voice due to your phone's microphone and how close you are to it. I am sure one of your editors could help pick out an upgrade for your microphone that works well with your setup.

This is probably a silly question... but how does one lock it from the outside? I see a key hole but couldn't imagine it turns this entire mechanism.
No such thing as silly questions! There's a giant key!

I design and make the gears myself. I don’t have a cnc machine.
