That’s a lot of miles on one of those! The few people I know with early models have blown them around the 60-90k mark, but that may be due to bad maintenance or just WOT driving from every stoplight

When I was 16, I had a 84 Toyota Celica GT That thing would fly. My dad threw 3 rods in it, but after he "fixed it" it was unbelievable fast. This was 1987 or so. Hellcat sounds so good! 🏁
Hellcats are pretty hard to lunch out of the hole unless it’s got good sticky tires. Love that car. I am also impressed with that Supra for sure

I have a g82 m4 comp Xdrive stage 2 only, no downpipe or intake and I'm tuning 10.2 on the 1/4 mile ! It's just crazy. Waiting for my downpipe + cai + catback to see the difference
A s85’s rods can reach heaven tho 😳
s58 makes about 480whp or 550hp crank so 50hp underrated. That's from the factory, could probably be built further, apparently it's one of the easiest engines to make 1000hp from. With a plug-in tune like JB4 on 91oct they make about +80-100whp which is gross, more if you get it dyno tuned. FBO tuned will run 700whp.
The B58 motor is so good but them Hellcats are king at top speed.

I can believe this. Back in 2015 stock Hellcats with 707 hp were beating stock 600hp Nizmos at the track. That Supra is equivalent to a stock 2015 GTR Nizmo.

@@gogreen392 yeah people are really confused on Hellcat prices. You could pick them up in the high 30s and low 40s used just a few years back. New they were seen in the 50s/60s all day long (before all of the gouging/supply issues).

Hey Sam, I wanted to give some info on the new supra.
Everything depends on the tune on that car. If you're on a piggy back, these results are no surprise.
However, if you get yourself a tuner that knows how to really make that b58 engine shine, you will see how much of a difference it will be.
Mikey botti is a prime example of how insane you can push that car unopened engine.
Regardless, I am legit impressed with the driver/owner of the hellcat, that was one of the best launches i have seen. BRAVO!

Yeah I was saying also if it’s a 2021 or newer it’s a completely different engine and much faster in the Supra

Definitely an OTS map. He's making less torque than hp which isn't the case in an Ecutek tune. My 2020 is tuned on E50 making 550hp 570tq.

The power to weight is pretty damn close. I believe the Supra has a Slight edge in the numbers. I'd love to have either one😜

I owned both cars, the supra is more exciting to drive in the city since it puts the power down way faster, for the highway I loved the hellcat though!

This was the dream match up that I was hoping for! Because my neighbor has a Supra GR, and was curious how well it would do against my Hellcat. I knew the stock Supra's has pretty decent performance, but it was so much better seeing a tuned Supra vs. Dane’s stockish Hellcat (I have a JLT CAI also)! When it comes to top end, there is no replacement for displacement...lol! Great stuff Sam!

Your neighbor's Supra would lose you on backroads/tracks though. I love Challengers, but when I was shopping around I decided I wanted something that's more than just a boat with excellent straight-line performance (which if that's really what you want, entry level EVs are going to best even your Hellcat now).

i think people forget how fast hellcats are (i definitely do). i know tuned Supras absolutely move and its still not really that close to a stock hellcat.
Yup! A tuned Supra is still about 100hp off from walking that hellcat. But to be fair this Supra is more in the low 400’s rather than 500

Supras are quick off the line but don't have top end power.
@@MizzouRah78 correct base map fbo R’s are roughly 360whp and 340torque vs a etuned one with a good tuner can make roughly 390whp and 385tlb. So it does make a huge difference especially when you’re taking custom tunes vs jb4 maps lol
Edit: I was referring to a jb4 mapped Supra which I’m assuming this Supra is looking by how bad it got beat on the top end

The Supra in Aus is $90k base and $110k top spec. The C8 in Aus is $210k and top spec $240k.
The C8 is so expensive here compared to the US - fark hah.

My MKV tuned stage 2 made 525 and 600 torque, with E50. 400 is a little low in my opinion. Who tuned the Supra? The torque must have been turned way down.

From what I’ve seen, b58 doesn’t make optimum power redlining in “D” like most race it; I shift mine “manually” a couple hundred RPMS short to avoid boost drop.. although I’m not on a custom tune to confirm, just saying , I’ve seen almost every Supra owner just slap it into D 😒

This is barely a tuned supra. Probably like 430 whp which is about 40-45 more than a stock. Would have been much better races with a properly tuned Supra on e50 for example they make 500+ whp close to 600 crank.

@@oldfriend7618 pretty sure it depends on exactly is done, but a stage 2 ECU tune is like 75-85HP so around 450 at the wheels. That's not the point. My point is you don't know what all the mods are on the car, the intro says 500HP, but is it right there or more?

The supra owner should try to find anyone who can give the the 'botti tune'... so far out of all the tunes that one keeps a linear Powerband all the way to rpm! I've seen a channel named 'babayaga racing' and he has 2 different tunes and once he put that botti one he gaps other supras with smiling mods just a different tune! He beats hellcats too and even some fbo hellcats on rolls up until 140s mph! Insane tune 👌
