Amen Buddy, We have a huge John Deere plant in Grovetown, Georgia and I know people working there are getting nervous. The CEO is making $29 million a year plus a healthy benefits package. That's a problem. He could take a couple of Million off his salary and keep the jobs in the USA. I worked at a Nuclear Plant in Louisiana and the CEO was getting $9.5 million a year and they decided to lay off 150 people and the CEO got a $2.5 million bonus for cutting costs. We were all very insulted.
America can put them outta business 🎉 actions speak louder and they have shown us so we can now show them buy other shit ❤ support those who values same things you do not against you
@ it's not about your ability/knowhow to fix their equipment, it is about their control of their product till the day it goes to the landfill. if you work on your own JD equipment, they can and will electronically shut it down with a simple press of a button from some office at HQ.
My daddy worked there for 38 yrs that man I kid you not missed to days of work in all those years. And they did him so dirty when he retired, it absolutely broke my heart. My daddy is long gone. just leaves me a little bitter.
It is insane that all these CEO;s make such huge salaries and exhibit such incompetence, we see it everyday in the private sector and in the government, I have no sympathy for them.

We've had those for years on things. Nothing new there. Example: I have an Ingersoll Rand air compressor that has a big decal on the front that reads "assembled in the USA", then the fine print reads " from global parts". The compressor is 10 years old. The individual tags on the parts: compressor-made in India, electric motor-made in Brazil, tank- made in USA, etc.
Tell me you have no clue without telling me you have no clue. They moved skid steers and garden tractor that is it. Nothing else moved. John Deere has been in Mexico for decades they been building tractor cabs there for a long time. Nothing new. John Deere is in 130 countries. If you didn't know just like all the other builders.

I would be absolutely ashamed to be making that kind of money (27 million or more ) and laying off employees. A CEO is not worth 287 times what a good worker makes
John Deere screwed themselves when the CEO said farmers are just leasing this equipment. You HAVE to go to them for maintenance because they have proprietary software that they will not license to local repair facilities. And they still can't figure out what is wrong with the equipment!
it is my understanding that b gates owns the patent on the software and refuses to allow JD to release it to the dealers. Control food, control population.

Planned product failures, companies want their products to fail so you either bring it into one of their "specialists" or buy a new one. They started doing this with Edison's bulb. It's a policy that needs rooted out or at minimum make things that can easily be worked on as long as parts are available.
Planned obsolescence. One of the original lightbulbs made is still burning at a firehall somewhere in the US. Been on for almost 150 years. But then they figured out that if the bulbs don't burn out, after a while, when people have what they need they won't buy more.
The biggest selling point for Deere was always parts and service. Ten years ago, they walked away from the parts inventory but kept the patents so no one can reproduce key parts. We run a walker combine and had the gearbox blow. Dealership had to get a different gearbox from a salvage place because non available in US. (the dealership had the combine two months before fall harvest so it was not suppose to be a mad scramble but it turned into that. Ending was bringing the combine home throwing the head on and starting harvest that night. six years ago) Three years ago, neighbor had electrical fire in rear of his three year old combine and had to rent one because there was no harnesses available. Company in Indiana will custom make one if you provide diagram but big company would not provide information nor fix.
The small family farm in Iowa is a thing of the past! Farming 1000 acres was a big farm years ago. We had ten family farmers within a 5 mile radius. More families meant more businesses, meant more kids to fill schools. It also meant John Deere sold more smaller equipment to more farmers. Now one farmer farms 5 acres. There are now two family farms instead of the ten there used to be. Banks won’t even help anyone than farms less than 1000 acres and are quick to foreclose on farms. Government sets crop prices and although the yield may be better now, the price for bushels goes up and down. Crop prices may be the same as they were in 1980 but nothing else ever will be. A new decent size John Deere tractor in 1982 was around $40K. Now they’re around $500K.
I am positive the HUGE wage increases, concessions and work rules the union received following the 2021 strike factored into management's decision. Unions seem focused on pricing their workers out of the market. BTW, profits are not evil, they necessary to keep a company running and completive, reserves built up in good years keep the doors open, and employees working, in slower times.
THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WHO ARE PATRIOTS NEED TO BOYCOTT JOHN-DEERE PRODUCTS.!!!!!! 😅😅😅😅😅😅 THEN WE'LL SEE THE PEOPLE GET THE TRACTORS WE WANT INSTEAD OF WHAT THEY WANT TO SELL US !!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
This is actually the second huge layoff for John Deere here. We live in southeast Iowa. Just across the river is Illinois. There are 2 plants on our side of the river and one on the Illinois side. The plant on the Illinois side dropped the ENTIRE 3RD SHIFT last fall. One of my daughters was laid off when that happened. They were given 2 weeks' notice. She is single so that was the end of her income. She has been able to find work but not even close to the same wages since the entire shift was out looking for work all at the same time.
Can’t fix them yourself. Then who with an ounce of sense wants unfixable equipment. I loved my old John Deere. Now I run from them and patch what I got.
Random thoughts: Back in the day when "Made in Japan" meant cheap, much like we view "Made in China" today, there was a town called Usa, Japan. They famously started labeling goods "Made in Usa" and people thought they were buying American made goods. After the Jimmy Carter years, when gas prices doubled/tripled, small economical cars from Japan began dominating the US auto sales. Ford and GM complained to Congress who passed regulations to shore up the US automakers. When US automakers enjoyed windfall profits, instead of investing those profits back into updating factories, the executives recieved huge bonuses. Toyota and Honda then moved some of their factories to the US and began kicking their butts once again. John Deere, along with all the other tractor/equipment manufacturers, have long sent manufacturing of smaller tractors overseas. Back in the nineties, when the North American Free Trade Agreement was enacted, critics predicted that US manufacturers would simply move production to Mexico, primarily to avoid evnironmental regulations here in the US. Those critics were 100% correct. Back in the 80's, when college professors still taught economics instead of DEI Worship, there was a concept of "The Tort Tax". Basically, companies had to increase their pricing to compensate for all the product liability lawsuits of the day. Remember when McDonalds got hit with a multimillion dollar lawsuit when a customer spilled hot coffee in her lap?
I can’t speak for the rest of you, but this John Deere thing is extremely disappointing to me, it’s insulting to all of us, who supported John Deere, because We believe in, and strongly support ‘Made in America’. Maybe it’s time, to send John Deere a Dear John letter!? I close for now, with a most Sincere Thanks, to Patriot Buddy Brown, for his love of Country, and for his heartfelt messages.
When I was a kid, we would jump at these farm jobs that are going to foreign workers, NOW citizens are "too good" to perform manual farm labor. The young of these times just live with mommy n daddy and sponge off societies and complain that there are no opportunities in today's economy.
Me and my family used to buy nothing but John Deere. Not anymore. Overpriced, bad quality and they went woke. There are much better choices out there from people who actually care about their customers.
It was announced today that the FTC is suing JD about the right to repair. I suspect the reason why many large farmers around me don't use JD. The last time I had my riding mower worked on I got a run around about parts no longer available and they suggested I buy a new one.... Yeah this will be the last JD mower I will ever buy. I don't recall who the professor was that said a revolution is coming due to income inequality. No surprise there!
I live in Pasadena California, and your 100 percent right about, these Things will happen more and more, it was written over 2000 years ago, and its really happening. The Day of the fire, in eaton canyon which i can see from my front door. The stories about Fire depts running out of water are true. These Brave men put their lives on the line , and our state government and city governments failed them and the People of Los Angeles. I am a Conservative Christian, and my Brother and Sister are as well and we all Vote Red and will always Vote red. The progressive failed and its Time To take our state back, and vote in people who know how to run the State. For the last 22 years this Bozo's who been running California have destroyed it. People i have known and respected was lost everything in the fire. I was the last one to leave my home on that Night, and i got down on one knee and prayed that god would protect my Home. When I went back the next day, my home was Still standing. I gave that glory to God. We need to stop letting our just go elsewhere, we didnt learn that during Covid and some people are still doing it. We need to stop letting other countries , buy up our land. They dont let us buy theirs. American Farms need to be owned by Americans, not China which is buying up our Farm land. Stop sending our jobs else where put America First, God Bless America
A coworker of mine whose boyfriend was an intern at JD here in Canada was pissed at the way the company basically shut farmers down at their will then demanded high fees for "upgrades" in the programming took all the info and forwarded it to affected customers for free. of course it was his final day there but he left with a good feeling
Yea they could keep all there high tech tractors I won't be getting one, I will be keeping an eye out for an older international there worth it and plenty of parts in the scrap yards
I own 4 John Deere construction equipment now,, been Deere my whole life,, but I bought my first Case hoes last year,, 2 of them,, they are Japanese Sumitomos,,, but we like them so far.. John Deere sold one of my best friends a lemon used corn cutter. They never could make it run right when he got behind on that loan. They pulled all of his loans 9 pieces of equipment because he couldn't run one. They sold him that was bad.
My John dear is a 2007/5045 and it is a life saver super basic model lifts 2000 pound hay rolls and I actually box bladed and front loaded a 1 acre pond. I have done the repairs so far I baby it
The farmers also need the right to repair. John Deere is right up front requiring farmers to get their equipment repaired ONLY by their company techs. Ridiculous for a farmer, they have been repairing their own equipment forever. High tech, comes with a price. You are right, about them owning their equipment, they don't, and JD can shut them down anytime, for any reason. Big risk for any farmer.
I love my little LS tractor, my income didn’t allow me to pay double for the same size same power tractor. It has been beaten the 3 years I have owned it and works every time I turn the key
Not just parts. Some farmers have to subscribe to a GPS service to run their tractors for automated harvesting. Every year they have to rebuy the software so they can be a bit more efficient and cost saving. My question is why can’t they just buy it once and be done… All right someone hast to make a subscription fee. Maybe that’s what should happen make it illegal to have a subscription based service without an option to buy the software outright. I’m looking at you, Microsoft.
We need to pass a law in Congress, but if you purchase a piece of equipment, it should be able to be worked on and fixed without having to go through the distributor and their computer system. Having to wait 2,3,4 weeks to get somebody out to fix it it’s not fair if you’ve purchased it.
If a farmer or rancher can’t fix his own equipment with his own tools and his knowledge. Then that piece of equipment isn’t worth it.
God bless America and lord willing, we can make American tractors for American farmers
Edit: I don’t think Pedro would like this.

Ending was bringing the combine home throwing the head on and starting harvest that night. six years ago)
Three years ago, neighbor had electrical fire in rear of his three year old combine and had to rent one because there was no harnesses available.
Exactly! I live in southeast Iowa and all of our farmers are family farms because no one farmer can afford to purchase all of that equipment.
Hey Buddy! You rock. Canadian guy here. Keep speaking truth!
Ross Perot was so right back in 1992. He said you will here a great sucking sound of industry going into Mexico with NAFTA!!
VERY TRUE AND AMEN AND AMEN
If you can't repair it with out company assistance. It's not worth having.
Can’t fix them yourself. Then who with an ounce of sense wants unfixable equipment. I loved my old John Deere. Now I run from them and patch what I got.
Random thoughts:
Back in the day when "Made in Japan" meant cheap, much like we view "Made in China" today, there was a town called Usa, Japan.
So Wise , Thank You .
$10B in profits also by holding their customers hostage.
F JD.
Tariffs are a good thing.
We weren't "Mandated" We were Extorted into getting vaccinated.
Maybe you but not us
So many people around me have died recently- heart, blood clots, unknown reasons with no questionable health history
When I was a kid, we would jump at these farm jobs that are going to foreign workers, NOW citizens are "too good" to perform manual farm labor.
The young of these times just live with mommy n daddy and sponge off societies and complain that there are no opportunities in today's economy.
Thanks Buddy, well said! Love the music!! 😂
What dirty trick, boycott that’s what I say. Worked for other brands
Good morning from snowy Butler Pa………
They've laid off hundreds of employees in Iowa.
Love ya 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🙏
The right to repair is essential.
In a similar situation, auto makers need to bring back transmission fluid dipsticks.
G.D. right they do!
Amen!
Preach it Buddy! Made in America used to mean exactly that, not assembled in America. Tariff the crap out of John Deere.
I live in Pasadena California, and your 100 percent right about, these
Things will happen more and more, it was written over 2000 years ago, and its really happening. The progressive failed and its
Time
To take our state back, and vote in people who know how to run the State. For the last
22 years this Bozo's who been running California have destroyed it. People i have known and respected was lost
everything in the fire. I was
the last one to leave my home on that Night, and i got down on one knee and prayed that god would protect my
Home. When I went
back the next day, my home was
Still standing. I gave that glory to God. We need to stop letting our just go elsewhere, we didnt learn that during Covid and some people are still doing it. We need
to stop letting other countries , buy up our land.
Got mine! Thanks Buddy!
Can’t wait to buy my new
JUAN DIAZ tractor
Thanks Buddy for the news, God bless
Trump needs to add tariffs on all John Deere products brought into the USA.
I've had a Kabota since 1999 no big problems ever
Yea they could keep all there high tech tractors I won't be getting one, I will be keeping an eye out for an older international there worth it and plenty of parts in the scrap yards
God bless you and your family 🙏🏻.
Keep up the great work 👍
Thank you Buddy
God Bless 🍁
I own 4 John Deere construction equipment now,,
been Deere my whole life,,
but I bought my first Case hoes last year,, 2 of them,,
they are Japanese Sumitomos,,,
but we like them so far..
Switched mainly because of deere dealer antics...
it's burnt me for years of my JD 0-turn that it says China on the cast front spindle... 🤦♂️
But remember to look at your Chinese CATERPILLARS too..🤷♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Between crooked CEOs and crooked politicians they have sold out America,,,🐀🐀
but we are going to MAGA!!❤🎉🎉🇺🇸
I don’t see demand being the problem. It’s their prices that motivate people to explore other options.
Buy old equipment and rebuild, repair, resist corporate over bearing .
Being able to fix equipment is the power in your hands
John Deere sold one of my best friends a lemon used corn cutter.
They never could make it run right when he got behind on that loan. They pulled all of his loans 9 pieces of equipment because he couldn't run one. They sold him that was bad.
My John dear is a 2007/5045 and it is a life saver super basic model lifts 2000 pound hay rolls and I actually box bladed and front loaded a 1 acre pond. I have done the repairs so far I baby it
I work at orchard machinery corporation (omc) and we’re expanding while keeping jobs in the USA
Bird Flu is bullshit.....eggs here in this great old blue state that I wish was RED is over 5.00 a dozen.
They have a plant in Mexico in Germany for years
A lot of JD equipment comes from Germany
Nothing runs like a Deere has taken on a whole new meaning.
