Dude I'm a constant at least rank 1000 or lower and that track speed is crazy dawg im practicing as much as I can tho the harder/faster songs are stupid fast
High speed is so much better for spammy notes like Metallica drums/lead, but I find it so hard to hit notes on songs where there are lots of arrows that are very far apart
For months i've been hitting the lift notes like a regular note because i read somewhere that it's the same thing they trigger both sides. Yesterday while playing a song I realized that if you don't lift and hit it like a regular note, the note will give NO POINTS. Crazy.
Lift Notes do give you points if you hit it as a normal note but you probably have been double hitting it. Most likely by hitting the first note lifting which would then hit the lift but then thinking you need to hit it as an actual note so you would hit it again and lose your score multiplier.
@@bigTy i swear to god I tested it with my friend friday night and my point meter wasn't going up when hitting it. Only when lifting I could see the perfect and the point meter increase. Unless we mass hallucinated it's kinda possible
Ok so on not lift notes do you still have to lift on normal notes because I'm holding down green button for lane 1 for instance and when 2 notes come down i can't just strum to hit those notes. I have to raise my finger off green and then bring it back down for all notes on that path @@bigTy
No problem, personal I started on expert so it's hard for me to give tips on going from hard to expert. If you're using a controller the line down the highway helps to figure out if your left thumb or right thumb should be hitting what notes.
i used to play amplitude but amplitude only had 3 spots to hit so i would use the trigger but i dont have a controller i use my keyboard and hold it as a guitar and use my f1 f2 f3 f4 for easy/hard or 1 2 3 4 5 for expert
I got two questions. 1) At 9:45 the multiplier says 6x but when I play it only goes up to 4x. How does that work? 2) idk if you’ve ever tried keyboard and mouse but that’s what I’m on (I do have a controller tho). But which one do you think is easier? Keyboard or controller?
1) The reason mine goes up to 6x and yours is only 4x is because both Bass and Vocals have a 6x multiplier while Lead and Drums have a 4x. 2) I have not tried play on keyboard but I prefer controller. Mainly because both Rock Band Unplugged and Lego Rock Band for the DS use very similar controls to what I use on festival.
left and right d-pad + X Y A works really well. I have the same setup as you I guess. I have really big fingers. Up and left d-pad is no go. Just grab your controller into a position where your thumb are free to move easily. Dont grab your controller too tight and just try to hold it with your knuckle bone and keep your thumb up in the air.
I tried your controls but my thumbs get tired fast, and I end up missing a lot of notes. Especially on Metallica songs. Do you have other recommendations for the controls?
Currently no, try starting on expert on easy songs. I was not instantly good at hard song when I first started to play. Look at the difficulty rating of songs and just practice don't jump right into crazy hard Metallica Songs.
@@bigTy stretching your hands helps a lot just take 5 minutes before yuour game and stretch your fingers, the knuckles, your wrists. Your gameplay will feel way better and you wont get stiff hands for 10 songs.

With very close together lifts you probably double tapped try a very spread out lift butter Barn lead has one that pretty far apart one to try.

Never mind just figured out that I was playing on normal lead and trying to strum. Should have been on pro lead

Can I ask what your binds are for easy, medium and hard please?
Left on dpad, Up on dpad, triangle, circle. Overdrive would still be right bumper.
